Maybe I need to re-read the last 20 chapters or so, but this ending felt really rushed and the lack of an epilogue makes it almost feel like it's been axed.

Lack of epilogue? I believe the epilogue comes out next month.

There is still one more chapter coming out so I will assume it will tie everything up nicely for us. It is possible that the author wanted to get it done quicker then she might have originally just because of the long Hiatus that she had to go on but it doesn't feel all that rushed to me. You might have been expecting a longer fight between the two but I don't think that would make the ending any "better".

He actually commands her to repeat what she said earlier, like how she wants to die, etc...He wants her to say it before he once again falls in love with her, probably so that he can have the will to go through with killing her.

I actually don't follow the series so it's kinda confusing. I just checked out the last few chapters to see how this series ended. Based on the context, since she said he forgot about her, it makes sense for him to fall in love with her again? But on the next page, she says "if you love me then fulfill my wish", so it implies he's already in love with her (again)? /shrug. Either way, this series ends on a pretty hopeful note. Time to actually read from the beginning.

Wow, for a tragedy series it ended pretty positively. I don't think I could ask for a better ending.

The anime opening theme suddenly makes a lot of sense. Shiro's quote is probably "I wanna make you bleed just like me". The other deadmen share one quote: I'm gonna start my battle with my fate. The wakening of Shiro may have some meaning. Maybe it means she's not going to be vegetable forever.

The story doesn't explain Honeybird's interest in Veterinary Science. She spent so many time in gardening. She would be more prepared in planet than animal. At least, she is still taking care something.

All in all a solid ending. The world continues on and each character finds their place in the world again. Though I suppose Shiro's future is still questionable. She has woken up, but considering the mass deaths she's caused hard to tell if she'll just be walking around the same as everyone else.

But yeah, for a series with so much tragedy things turned out rather well. Certainly was hoping that a lot of characters would get to live on and enjoy their futures so nothing wrong with that.
