If that's true I'm importing the game instead of buying the euro release. :O
It comes with English voices as well

On the back of the cover it says:

Voice - Japanese/English
Subtitle - Japanese/English
Manual - Japanese
Operation Sheet - Chinese/English

Isn't that the Hong Kong release or something?

Hong Kong release don't come with Japanese text though, the entire back cover is in Japanese.

But then again, I can't entirely be sure ^^

EDIT: There's a thread in Neogaf that says the Japanese vision also comes with English voice as well.

I'll wait to see if we aren't pleasantly surprised by the western release then but I see an import in my future. Thanks for the heads up :-)

So the Japanese version has dual languages, eh? That most certainly is great news! Sadly, I don't have the money to import at the moment, so I may as well wait for the overseas release like a good boy.....

Yup, apparently Destructoid confirmed dual audio awhile back already

Played up to the first boss battle... If you've seen Shadows of the Damned, it's the same kind of creepy-gore You can dive straight into Hard mode imo, that's like normal mode for other HnS.

However... One thing about the gameplay... If you've just come off from playing Metal Gear Rising, the controls here are... Not as smooth imo. Raiden's fighting style flow effortlessly while Mondo is a bit sluggish tbh; I don't know if it's just the starting part or I'm not doing something right, but just keep that in mind when you play.

EDIT:

Oh yeah be warned- There is no lock on.

Goodie. That means I can nab a decent local deal (or even a decent deal on PSN for instant gratification).

So how does this compare to No More Heroes? I think, for me, that would be the easiest comparison to use as a gauge for how much I'd like this game. I've never played MGS:R.

Hard Mode Second Boss David is really an asshole >_>

Two tips, first is to practice evade timing to trigger that special move, it'll be easier to stand your guard and dodge rather than moving about... And for the second phase just before the bullet time enters have your guard up otherwise he would plow right through you.

The second tip is... Do NOT underestimate the mash square sequence- you have to REALLY give it all you got

Suda15 made a mediocre game again this year and this time even worse than last year's Lollipop Chainsaw in term of scores it got. Most reviewers agree on one thing: They hate gigolo missions, which is sad since gigolo mission is it's biggest and best gimmick it had over similar games like Metal Gear Rising and Ninja Gaiden for examples.

I think despite the success of Shadow of the Damned in 2011 but it had rather disappointing sales, almost nobody actually played despite the praises from the critics. Lollipop Chainsaw can be considered as a success in term of sales despite got mediocre reviews, mostly from its sex appeal. SUda15 used the same strategy with Killer is Dead too but this time with Killer 7's visual style and it didn't get better reviews either. Suda15 could become Uwe Boll of video games if he still prefer styles over substances.

The gigolo missions... After doing like three of them you'll get all the upgrades you need for the subweapons, I don't know if any more future gigolo missions would grant you more than just skill-upgrade currency.

The combat is definitely not on par with Rising or Gaiden- Not even close. I saw a few videos of No More Heroes, and it looks kinda like that but I can't be sure because I never play NMH. In my opinion, it takes a few rounds and a few upgrades to get into it. Hard mode can still be punishing if you screw up because of the lack of check points and the minimal healing items. Combat itself isn't as satisfying as Rising or Gaiden simply because your weapon swing is a lot slower and some what sluggish.

So... just finished the game... and as someone who enjoyed Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw... honestly... I loved every second of this game. The soundtrack had some really great songs, the parry/dodge is one of the most satisfying parry/dodge moves I've ever used, and the story just felt awesome the more and more it went on... so I DO plan on platinuming the game~

I guess playing it on hard in the beginning sort of builds to my frustration of the game, once I've gotten some upgrades it wasn't as hard.

...But then again normal was too easy... >_>

Still not as satisfying as Rising, but it has some really cool moments especially when your weapon has "removed it's limiter"
