I certainly loved all the little jabs directed at his editor, it made the chapter even more hilarious.

Yeah, it wasn't Haha funny, but it was just deliciously absurd and that made it fun. Although I wish he had mentioned something about his humanism like from those earlier panels we saw some many chapters ago. "I can forgive you as a humanist, but I can't forgive you as an otter!" or something like that.

I just went out and bought Bakuman volume 1. I've been waiting for it to get localized. I know it's been out for a while but I forgot lol. Anyway, at the end of each chapter they show a name and manuscript for a random page of the chapter. I thought that was a cool little extra. Overall, I was rather pleased with how it was localized.

Death Note in elementary school. I knew they would introduce a rival at some point, I thought it'd be a younger version of Trap but it wasn't even brought up. A Detective Trap crossover probably wouldn't have had a huge effect anyway (in fact, it may have had a negative one), especially compared to the Crow x +Natural crossover.

The trick Takagi thought of was pretty ingenious. I think this story arc may save the series from cancellation, but for it to really overtake Crow and + Natural, they will need to make a few changes, the first being aging the characters. There's only so much elementary schoolers can do. That's one of the (many) mistakes they made with Tanto as well.

After seeing Miho's message, I want to see her side of the story even more. She doesn't appear as often as she should ;_;

Yeah fantastic chapter. After this much build up, i can really see them beating Crow and + Natural. Can't wait!

Remember that the series hasn't been going for more than 25 chapters yet. Chances are that after this arc, we will see the characters in junior high. You are right in saying that there's only so much that elementary schoolers can do, but I remember that when Takagi and Saiko first came up with the idea for PCP, they would eventually involve the characters into much bigger crimes (like leaving a note in a maximum security bank deposit saying "I was here") as they grew older. A crime as complex as this is probably their first step into that larger world. I'm really excited how PCP's gonna turn out! Looking forward to the next chapter here

That was the most meta experience I had with a manga. I just read a chapter of two guys summarizing another manga and breaking it down.

The cliffhanger at the end isn't fair. I want to know, damn it!! My guess is just above natural. Although they could go for the complete shocker and make it overtake crow, but I'm not expecting that. I also liked the scene with Shujin and Iwase. Man, this PCP arc has been awesome.

The color spread is fantastic! Great idea to draw the mangakas dressed up as characters from their own manga.

I want Iwase to lose more than ever now...
She was so cute in this chapter. She's really grown on me these past few chapters.

Akechi's chara design is a bit disappointing, he doesn't look nearly as good as the other characters of PCP. I guess it's still okay though. The change made to the end of the last chapter is very good, but will that be enough? We'll find out next week! I too doubt they'll be able to overtake Crow, but +Natural seems within reach. PCP is too good to just get canceled anyway.

Damn it, Shuji's idea is awesome and not to mention that it's actually pretty realistic for elementary school

...and seriously, if I read the actual manga and read the last part of that arc, there's only one thing that I can say to JUMP and the author : "PLEASE CONTINUE THIS FFFFU-"

^It would be kind of cool if they were canceled (it would really show us just how far they are willing to go for their dream). Then they were forced to work at one of the other Shueisha magazines, hell to really spice up the series they could go over to Kodansha and publish in Weekly Shounen Magazine (Like Shueisha would ever allow one of the series published is WSJ to even write about Kodansha)...

That being said, good chapter (with a great 2 page spread, and the colour pages were also quite nice (though, as usually, they were wasted)). My opinion of Iwase has really risen in recent chapters, and I love how she still holds a partial crush for Takagi.

The Akechi design was a bit of a let-down, though, but I am a sucker for rivals in Shounen so it's all good.

Okay after reading the chapters... holy crap is PCP a terrible concept, I just can't get excited over people pulling pranks that aren't very daring or interesting for the fact. Although I did enjoy the end of the chapter where there was a hint of Iwase going back to liking Akagi which will spice things up. I dunno I just don't find PCP all that explosive of a series and it lacks the "impact" of say Conan who is usually either solving murders or preventing jewel heists etc.

Nice to see Iwase returning to normal and being especially cute around Shujin. Maybe now she can drop the torch and ruffle Eiji's feathers

I doubt PCP will get canned. Even if it doesn't pull ahead, some kind of convenient circumstance will occur and keep it in the magazine. They've been hyping this concept far too much for it to go to waste.

Can we get a sample of Fukuda's manga next, please?

I can actually see PCP beating Natural here, i mean the big rival is Crow, so it's good to focus on just Natural for now and get it out of the way.
