Yoshinaga Futaba won the first prize in a lottery. To be surprised, what she received was an unprecedented animal, gargoyle. At first sight, it looked like a stone statute, but it suddenly began to speak, and it said “I’m a gatekeeper of Yoshinaga”. Futaba’s brother was too surprise to say anything. Futaba went to the antique shop, Totensha, that had offered her the gargoyle in order to turn it down. But there was a dangerous girl holding a Chinese sword.

Genre: Seinen, Comedy.

I really like the variety of characters in the show, it should be good The Promo is interesting... the music in the Promo sounds like its from some Super Mario snes game the animation is Great, would be nice if they keep the quality up in the show.

Saitou Chiwa (Hazuki in Tsukuyomi Moon Phase, Rebecca in PaniPoni Dash!, etc.) will play the main little girl, Futaba, who likes pro wrestling and whose favorite phrase is: "Strike first and win."

This series seems pretty cute. It looks like it might have a peto peto san kind of vibe to it.

EDIT: So after watching the first episode, it reminds me more of Mahoraba, at least in terms of art. It's off to a kinda slow start, but I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

watched episode 1, good for a "first" look

Very few of the cast are introduced in first episode... But hey.. Gargoyle makes me wanna keep watching Mama-"dono" is cool too

I think most Japanese people would read that as "Yoshinaga-sanchi no Gargoyle".

Overall, the voice acting is great, Wakamoto Norio as Gargoyle is perfect, Saito Chiba as Futaba who was rude but kinded heart to her friends. These two is worthy enough to watch.

Storywise, Gar-kun being a guard golem is quite famous due to itself "l33tness" electric shock and eye laser beam. Futaba hates Gar-kun from guts is kinda funny(she kicks Gar-kun ass hard).

I just hope some sub groups will take it.

Well I have heard of a little interest by some people, plus the show is quite a bit different and It would suprize me if such a show didn't ever get subbed.

The Gargoyle is indead very cool! agree with you on his Voice stevency it rocks! I love the semi-realisim that I see in the show, first of all there is a blind man and a sister who isn't all onii-chan towards her brother and it shows a little girls affection towards her dog nicely, the hints of drama moments were good

I'm not fond of the opening and ending, but there not horriable, oh! and Poor girl I'm just glad that was all that happed.

I'm afraid episode 1 didn't do it for me. I love Saitou Chiwa and thought her new accent was wonderful. And the gargoyle is indeed fairly cool -- as are Futaba's flying kicks. But somehow I just couldn't get into it. We'll see how the plot progresses from the end-of-episode cliffhanger.

I loved this series, how the gargoyle is so serious and then BAM *flying away*, also was confused a bit by the main´s okama brother (Okama ja nai te itteru deshou!), he´s like a carbon copy of the mom.

OP/ED were sung by the 3 girls, including Mizuki Nana. Instant winner combo in my book.

The minute I found out Chiwa Saito and Norio Wakamoto were in this I knew I had to see it. It looks like an interesting story with the right mix of hyperactive comedy and drama. I liked the first episode quite a bit I'll give it a couple more but evenso I'll watch it just for Norio
