I've been thinking, what if the reason why the countdown isn't is the series is because Leon's transformation is incomplete? We've already seen that he is unstable as Garo and Herman said that Leon was "new to this".

I wasn't familiar with the series so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I found both episodes to be rather enjoyable. Herman is hilarious and awesome, and Leon isn't so bad even if he's pretty much a complete opposite of his dad in terms of personality. It'll be interesting to see how Alfonso plays into all of this.

I'm with you there. From what I remember, if a Knight went past 99.9 seconds he'll turn into the Lost Soul form and become a beast. Leon's Garo armor being cracked on one side AND him losing his mind easily like that makes me think that he's still not fully there as Garo yet.

Maybe he'll gain full control later on and becomes a full fledged Golden Knight.

Also, really loving Ema.

Only the second episode and German already raised a death flag. This armor is most likely going to be passed down to Alfonso after he inevitably dies.

Next episode, Zaruba! I'm hyped as hell!

I don't realy think so, Alphonso is descendant of makai knights on his own. And if I am not mistaken ending showed three defferent armors.

While I don't know what kind of mechanism these armors are, I would bet he can probably hensin by using necklace he got from his mom.

Haha. I'm with you there. Really curious on what kind of Zaruba we'll get next episode. Will it be the Zaruba we all know and love, or something else?

Anyway, you should watch episode 2. Ema is great. Definitely non a damsel in distress. Too bad that she got bruises on her pretty face though

I haven't seen the entire ending sequence, but the opening shows Garo fighting a black armored Makai Knight and the tapestry in the King's castle also showed a black colored Garo. Since this show already turned Zero into Zoro (they should have gone all the way and just make Herman and Leon's last name "de la Vega") they could come up with their own version of Kiba.

Also, I'm hoping they'll address why Herman doesn't seem to have any Madou Tool with him.

Now that did what the much vaunted Fate/Stay Night UBW couldn't and just totally blew me away with it's first episode and overall stylization and world introduction, possibly more than even MAPPA's other seasonal offering Shingeki no Bahamut. Was totally not expecting anything from this yet I think it just became my most anticipated show of the season that doesn't have Gundam somewhere in the title. This show seems to have literally everything I wish to see out of my TV anime but very rarely get.

Dad of the year award anyone?

I guess there's not much competition, considering most anime fathers are either gone, missing, dead, or the villain. It is pretty refreshing to see a relatively healthy father and son relationship depicted in anime though.

Looks like that curse on León is pushing him into Lost Soul Beast form so easily.

And that Germán henshin reminded me of Yami wo Terasu Mono.

First episode didn't grab me much. It doesn't help that I don't like the armors concept to begin with. I usually tend to fast forward these parts (and most likely the whole shows). And this show is not an exception. Armors apart, Herman is fun enough to carry the show alone, and so even to balance Leon. If Emma will stick around with them that would be even better.

I'm wondering if German will give up his armor to Alfonso someday? He did declare that he needs a successor, and Alfonso's mom seems related.

Alphonso is descendant of Makai kishi on his own, thus he will heritate his own armor.

They OP only showed 2 armors, but it is possible that it will add another when an episode introduces another armor.
