The only way I know is a bit complex. But it's better than nothing. Get Virtualdub and then get VobSub. Since Virtualdub don't support SRT subs, you need to convert them to SSA because that's what it can read. Do a Google search on SRT2SSA and download that program. Load your SRT into and convert it. It should be incredibly fast.
Now open your AVI in Virtualdub, go to video, filter, add, TextSub, open your SSA file, then check "no automatic line wrapping" or something like that. Click ok. If you want to preview it, in the first video window, right-click and make it the smallest size possible. Then at the bottom, click the SECOND > button. When you're satisfied, go to file, save as, and save as your AVI. It should take awhile though. |
