I'm still sad that there is no supercell (not even just ryo like in Nise) involvement in this second season

but well, things gotta change

I notice that Nise drove away a good number of people who got into the series originally (although I have little idea why as Bake had a good amount of fanservice and other such questionable content...)
I'm really hoping that this new series revives interest, but at this point it's probably too late for that.

Don't worry, I'm sure they will be back eventually. Stopping watching an anime you don't like may unexpectedly require a lot of willpower.

Because it wasn't as good as Bake, and if you were "senjougahara fascination" there wasn't much to watch in that regard....

If it's "quality" people will come back, well not like they will come back since they will still watch it, just bitch less. I'll go out a limb, people will react to this series and Kizu (before 2020 please shaft) a lot better than Nise... and yes fanservice and other questionable elements are still around, but it's what surrounds it that also matters.

Alright start. Not really big on Chocolate Insomnia or Ai-o Utae but then again every song before was so legendary the streak had to break off somewhere.
Kinda curious about the artstyle changes, it's more freeflowing, more cutesy now, especially on Hanekawa, there's definitely a world of difference between 2009 and now.
10/10 shaftblocked.

Shaft does it again. Glorious service at the end.

The first episode exceeded my expectations, which had lowered a bit since Nise. I don't know why, but somehow it "felt" more like Bake. The pespective change from Koyomi to Hanekawa is pretty refreshing. Hearing Hanekawa reflecting about herself is much more interesting than Koyomi praising her as some kind of angel or saint all the time.
The "tiger" part in the episode was shorter than I imagined though. Does it have something to do with the fire ... ?
Good start, looking forward to the next episode.

I liked the episode, though i'll have to rewatch it subbed later. It felt a bit rushed at times for me, but the end sure was picking up nicely. Tsubasa's hair was cute.

I just realized that the OP animation is a tiny bit of a self-reference from Shaft.

Some of you might remember that Shaft was the creator of the best anime OP in existence.

I'm happy. Neko Black wasn't just a fluke. Itamura did it.

I was so happy when they used two of the ost's from Bake. As soon as I heard it it just felt so right. I'm happy about how things were adapted, it's smooth. I can't wait for Kabuki and Oni, especially with all the intertwining bits seen this episode. OP's alright, I think I'll grow to like it even more though.

Really good episode.

Best 1st episode of the season so far. Jumping in full burst without having to set up things like other series just beginning.

Voice work of all the characters seemed to have leveled up and their personalities really coming through.

Araragi not present during the episode really helped to make the other characters more solid. And not just as devices for Araragi interactions alone.

Also, man, this town gets a lot of action with supernatural entities...

What , did i missed something ? It was surprising to see Hitagi crying & blushing like that , specially for Hanekawa. Didn't expected that...
Well , i hope this season will be better than the previous. At least we got more Hitagi's screentimes.(well 70% fanservice)
So it looks like they'll both handle the tsubasa tiger. I think Araragi is already on it though.

Excellent start and more so because it's only 6 months after Neko/Black , instead of those damn 18 between Bake- and Nise-

Anyway, my only problem really is that the episode ended in just 20 minutes

But I will have to agree 100% that Tsubasa's perspective is very interesting, I disagree though that Koyomi's is boring.

Yes, you missed the beginning of Karen Bee (the first episodes of Nise-), where the relationship between those two was mentioned that has changed (saving you the spoilers)

PS: Please, let's not open the Nise- hate discussion again... after Neko/Kuro, even its biggest hater around here returned to the franchise with praises
