Yeah that's what I was thinking lol, just put two pillows in it. Cheapest method. Was planning to eventually get an actual pillow for it but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

The Higurashi Portable #2 was displayed at WonFes 09 (I can't believe I missed it until now). Anyway, they showcased 7 of the figures in the set; You apparently get 8 in a box (Unconfirmed) and its by Takara Tomy Arts, but they look JUST like the ones by Yujin *shrugs*

So of the 7 shown;
Keiichi: Baseball bat with normal white shirt/pants (More then likely Satoshi)***
Shion: Normal blouse and skirt version
Shion: Angel Mort costume
Rena: Beret and awesome dress version
Satoko: Pink bow, frilly plaid dress and apron version
Rika: Twin tail with pacifier and black frilly dress
Hanyuu: School dress version

It would be interesting to see what else comes in this figure set, considering the fact that only 5 characters came in the last one with 2 different types. This one already has 6 characters. The Keiichi one looks exactly like the one that came with the limited edition Portable game, which I was tempted to buy JUST for those 3 figures. But it looks like we might get the missing Rena with a cleaver and Rika with her hoe as 2 of the 3 missing (assuming its 10 potential pieces).... Also give us a Miyo Takano dammit!

I think that would happen to be Satoshi actually. Not Keiichi. His hair doesn't split in the middle like that. And the Angel Mort one is Mion (her hair's up in a ponytail there).

You're right about the Satoshi, I wasn't thinking about him mainly for the LACK of Keiichi. Mion/Shion, I associate Angel Mort with Shion :P regardless of hair style.

(my first Higurashi merchandise btw)

^ I have that book as well. The only thing I'm not completely happy about is that they didn't have the other characters in their yukatas (just Rena).

But after a little while, I got over it and I have to say, it's great. ^^

Aren't they wearing those on the last sample-picture I posted?

I would have prefered a better poster-pic, not just of Rika - since I'm not a fan of hers - but of the whole group (something like the cover pic)

Yeah, the cover pic would have been a better poster in my opinion as well. (Plus, it'd be more acceptable... I'd probably get more than just odd looks from my parents or my friends if they found the included poster hanging in my room. )

As for the yukata, I meant the ones from the Kai DVDs. They did have Rena in her pink one, holding cotton candy on page 107, but they didn't have the rest of the gang's (like the ones on page 118-19). But at least they were included in those pages, I guess. ^^;

Another note: looking through this book made me realize how little the official art includes Keiichi. XP

That's nothing, you should try putting up one of the Kodomo no Jikan posters (or anything else included in an issue of Megami Magazine) I already have a bare naked Horo (Spice and Wolf) covering herself up with some wolf-fur

So just a single character on a page, in their yukatas....yeah, that would have been better.

Got what may be my last set of higurashi figures (due to room constraints).

I have both the rare and the normal versions of each character, but I didn't unpack a few as I'm sending them off to my boyfriend.

Spoiler for Images:

Satoko. This is the rare version (pink towel). Normal version has a blue towel.


Rika. This is the rare version, but I already broke her scythe and I'm fixing it with epoxy putty. Normal version has two wands instead.


Rena. This is the normal version. She looks like she's about to go into 'take home' mode! The rare version has a halberd, but my boy's the bigger Rena fan so I'm giving it to him.


The twins. Both rare versions. Shion rare has slightly different hands and a tazer, Mion rare has a white bathing suit instead of navy blue, and 'oyashiro' cat eyes. Odd to see that on a Mion figure.


Now for the sole reason I bought the set!
