I'm actually not too surprised by this. The whole reason this series even got adapted in the first place was because the manga sold extremely well. Either way, I'm glad to hear it and will be tuning in whenever it airs!
Still wondering where a S2 of Land of the Lustrous is, though...

Beastars really cuts corners with production quality at times with frequent 2D scenes that don't look that great and a few re-used sequences, so I wouldn't be surprised if continuing HnK just requires way too many resources to get back to that quality level. My laments about that aside, I am genuinely glad to see more of Beastars. Louis' upcoming character arc is something I found pretty compelling in the manga, so I'd like to see it animated and hear it voiced.
