Naw, I'm just posting up some easy stuff right now, trying to ease everyone into it. I've got five more challenges of increasing difficulty, and...

This is going to be one of the hard ones simply because the few male characters hardly ever interact with each other. But yes, yaoi will eventually be a challenge. Because I care.

And probably because at one point I had a serious thing for Keroko but we'll just keep that quiet da ze.

Lol, with all the fanon yuri pairings of the main heroines, I would say hetero, crack and yaoi are the new variety.

Personally I never really considered the girls really yuri in particular, except in the case of Fate for Nanoha and Subaru for Nanoha and Teana.

Well since I'm writing like 48k on Hayate already... I'm not going to write this one. Need more sleep...

Well, the challenge asked for close to canon, and Hayate and Yuuno really didn't interact that much in canon , so I wouldn't think that Hayate would reference Yuuno much. And the other Chrono mention was in regards to Fate, so that wouldn't likely include Yuuno...

But LOL, I totally didn't notice until you pointed it out!

Hee hee, blame all the fluff I've been writing lately . I need to twist some knives in the hearts of my characters to feel that my week was well spent .

Haha, you guys all know me so well . I admit, I debated doing a real NanoFate for once, but when Kagerou mentioned the difficulty levels I just couldn't help myself....

And, quite frankly, this short basically is the same story, in that Hayate is touched by Reinforce's loss (not to mention being alone before that) and this is making her a little gun-shy about commitment...indeed, it might be that this story is simply an earlier entry in the Hayate/Vivio files highlighting Hayate's lack of courage against the setting of a middle-school crush on Fate.
Yeah, I confess that after writing about one page I realized that it was incredibly similar to "Lose By Holding Back" , which made me very unhappy . But I had invested a full page already, so I decided to just continue and see where it went. It's slightly different, but not enough for my tastes. But it was the only thing I could think of for Hayate that could even conceivably come out of canon .

Yeah, as you say, I don't know if it's a good idea since it could make things even more Fridge Horror than before . Imagine Hayate and Vivio together...and Hayate confessing to Vivio that she had feelings/fake feelings/a crush/a convenient crush on Vivio's parents in the past....

Spoiler for Author Note:
Some of the lines made me smile , mentioned in the quote.

I confess, I don't like stories that are generalizable to multiple characters . It's a preference of mine to like seeing how little things could be specific or different depending on who the POV character is. I like details .

To be honest, I wanted to write this, but couldn't decide who I would be writing about. In the I started writing anyway, and when it turned in this mess, I laughed at myself, and posted anyway. XD

I did something like that before, only it wasn't Hayate, obviously

Yes , nothing good can really come of it..... And since I promised Shigan that I will be a good deathcurse and not torture the poor characters too much (just ask her about the latest snippet/story idea I just sent her! ), I'll have to refrain from the temptation .

Ah, well, there you go--I wouldn't want to redo what's already been done before.

Give in to the temptation just once. You know you want to.

On the update side of things, Stray has been posted to FF.net for "Shadowfire". Only a few more drabbles to go before I'm completely caught up, at this rate.

She already did give into it once, and we all know she will again. It's only a matter of time. Unspeakable trauma is in her blood. It's in her soul.

Exactly. The more we tempt her, the sooner it will happen.

So...we're trying to get her to vent those feelings regularly and safely, lest they build up until the pressure can no longer be contained and the scattered remnants of the characters are left in gobbets across dimensional space?

There's actually quite the large amount of manipulation that goes on in this thread

Wait, will this also include your future non-HayateVivio fics? Because I think I'm seeing locust swarms on the horizon

Alright, I posted Chapter 1 of Maho Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha: The Ghost of Al-Hazared up on fanfiction.net . The formatting is shit, but that's just ff.net for you.

EDIT: If you set the story to 3/4 width it looks a lot better.
