I guess Gil and Saber interactions could save this from being a disaster. We'll see

Well I kind of understood him for his stands and believes, but as many I too didn't like they way they presented that. He was literally boring with that. Hopefully they will redo that part in making him less boring in that way, in a way that he will still have those kind of stands but be much less boring about it.

What he said was that he would have written their romance differently had he written it now (It was from an interview some years ago). So it wasn't about the new anime, sadly. Though I do hope that he'll rewrite it if Saber ends up being the love interest because I like the idea of them being together since I think they have rather nice chemistry but I absolutely hated how their romance was written in the original VN.

And I do seriously hope that all the "Girls shouldn't fight" bits are cut Because they don't add anything to his characterisation and in fact contradicts with how he acts in other routes. And it was just added because Nasu didn't know how to write any sort of romance between characters that don't fit into typical gender roles.

I agree, but he did said that he would have written it differently if he had chance and with new anime - he has that chance. And I am certain that he will take it, if they go in that way with the story-line that is.
