^Dran is kinda a lizard man himself, so still can be considered the same species maybe~
I don't like how Dran hates humans because they show fear and disgust when watching that Lamia creeping around... I mean it's actually hideous and lamia is a genuine monster... Having a monster slithering around town and Dran is expecting everyone just accept it like that? Outrageous... Lamia being selfish and sticking close to him, making him have no friends except weirdos, shutting out the popularity route, demanding his lifeforce, making him fulfill all her needs like bathroom and shit, but doesn't feel bad about it at all.... certainly my most hated character in WN... even making me postponed this series indefinitely! |

Yo Hentaiga, aren't you exaggerating quite a bit? What part of Selia in the cover do you call 'hideous' and 'monster'? She's genuinely a snake and is having a snake[SPOILER ALERT] familiar necessarily a bad thing? I mean come on! Some people find snakes ugly and stuff but others don't care or in fact love them very much. Their skin feel really nice as well, I love touching snake skin :3 ofc I'm not saying that all Lamia in the story are as nice as Selia but you're just directing your hate toward her.
Her features aside, I admit that I do find it annoying that she's a leach around Dran, bother him quite a bit, cockblocking is an understatement here  Although to be honest, her experience with human is non-exsistent b4 her encounter with Dran which was not even for like 2 months[SPOILER ALERT] b4 they move to the academy. Even before that, she was spoiled by her parent like no other so not caring about her target's troubles is understandable. Man that word was hard to spit out >.>All and all, Selia is Dran's personal exquisite pet that has many strings attached and as its owner, Dran must deal with all of the housing problems himself. You're right man... I just drive my personal hate towards her... It's not like I hate Lamia as a race, I like them in other works..... I hate Serina as a character during the development of this novel's story, but of course most people haven't read that far yet, so most likely they won't understand... so I express my hate in a most easily recognizable feature... her appearance... To me, what's most important in a story is.... Consequences... By selecting a decision, what would happen later in the story, will it make the story more interesting or make it boring instead? Are the consequences appropriate with what is lost or earned if the decision weren't taken? To me, Dran's decision to bring along Serina is a great mistake... the consequences are apparent Didn't he want to make his village prosper, thus he decided to learn at the school and probably will raise his status and gains connections with the government... but in bringing Selina, it just spread obstructions along the way, in exchange for what? a cockblocking annoying familiar?.... it doesn't worth it...... Not to mention she's playing the role of Main Heroine.... if she's just a sub-heroine then I can take it...... |
