The first thoughts of Touma was of Su-chan, Iris, Nanoha, Hayate, Fate, Signum and Vita whom he is close to due to them training him and then comes his soon to be family in the Nakajimas and then finally comes the Hukebein whom he thinks that he still have to deal with them and that he likes his life now despite how strange it has become. Stop misleading people and cause antagonisation will you?

Certainly, but the Hucks are different villains from the Numbers in tone, and just about every other antagonist so far too. That's why I think him wanting to do this is dumb: it's retreading ground again when these guys are, if nothing else, unique.

Ah, that's the way that Hayate and Dearche are complete opposites. Dearche actively attempts to assert control in every situation and has absolutely no patience, so she reacts poorly to losing control.

Hayate is patient and calm, waiting to see what is happening before attempting to manipulate a situation. So she doesn't lose her head when things are out of her control.

Anyway...

@TheScarletSword: I already mentioned this on Youtube, but thank you very much for all of the recordings you provided.

Oh, and I also realized that I recognized Yuuno's auto-counter spell from somewhere. It looks a lot like the spell he used in the first episode in his attempt to seal the Jewel Seed.

He held out his palm, creating a magical circle (what I suppose is a circle-based Field), with electric-like jolts of magical energy leaping from one to the other. In the game, his victim is caught between his hand and the circle rather than on the other side of it.

In the anime, the spell did nothing until the monster leapt right into the field... which Yuuno knew it was going to do, given how it was charging directly at him.

We know that conventional attack spells like Divine Buster and Thunder Rage can be used as mediums for a sealing spell, and that's likely what Yuuno was doing here.

Unfortunately, I still don't have a name for either of his trapping-attack fields.

Strange, there seems to be something seriously screwed up with the DNS right now. Hardly half of the websites I usually go to loads at all. In any case, Animesuki seems to be safe so it's back to business for me.

Sequence 8: Part Two

Spoiler for Sequence 8: Part Two:

Continuing from where we left off, the four time travellers are gonna be forced to face and run away from two of the pursuers from Hayate's group. For the 4th matches, you have Vivio vs. Zafira, Einhart vs. Yuuno and Thoma vs. Hayate (Dun, dun, DUUUUNNN!!!).
For Vivio vs. Zafira, our vivid loli is happy to see our resident Alpha wolf. She inadvertently blurts out his name. Oopsie. XD Zafira wonders why she knows him but puts that aside and tells her to come with him. Vivio wants to excuse herself, but they both agree that Zafira won't allow that. The guardian beast is surprised at the stance Vivio takes before the fight, it shows the same roots as his Fists of the Guardian style! After winning, Zafira recognizes her style as a counter-hitter. He finds it interesting and asks if Vivio is a practitioner of Striker Arts. Vivio affirms this and says she wants to talk more but can't. They would meet later in the future. Zafira oddly doesn't give chase as Vivio flies away, instead thinking that she may be a weird girl, but she's strong.
Next up is Einhart vs Yuuno. Our ever-trusty ferret-boy is diplomatic with his approach. However, Einhart recognizes him as the future Head Librarian and Nanoha's teacher in magic. (Uhoh...) Forget escaping, Einhart is not gonna let this opportunity pass!
Yuuno: Ano...
Einhart: I'm sorry. But I'm going to defeat you and go through!
Asteon: Nyaa! >:3
Yuuno: EEH?!
After getting beaten, Yuuno exclaims how strong Einhart is. HaOh-chan hastily excuses herself and flies like the wind, leaving the battered and befuddled ferret-changeling behind.
Here it is! The main attraction of the Sequence!! Thoma vs Hayate!!!
Thoma: Geh! Commander Yagami!
Hayate: Commander? What's with that?
Thoma: Ahh, err... That's...
Lily: (THOMA! Commander Yagami really is so small and cute! I want to pet her~! )
Thoma: (No! Even if she's that small she's Commander Hayate! She's guaranteed to be scary! )
Hayate: Ahah... I can pretty much hear you two... Do we know each other in the future? Did I do anything bad to you?
Thoma: NO! Definitely not! Absolutely nothing like that!
Lily: M-me, Thoma and Isis! The three of us are just being loved, that's all! (kawaiigatteiru. Don't know how to translate it any other way...)
Hayate: (They really are scared... I wonder what the future me does to them.)
Thoma: Anyway! We're sorry for bothering Commander Yagami. We'll be excusing ourselves now!
Lily: Sorry, please excuse us!
*the two fly away at top speed.*
Hayate: Okay~ Te! Nandeyanen! You're not getting away!
Thoma: DAA! I knew it! She stopped us with a lukewarm tsukkomi!
Lily commands Silver Cross to go full power on a non-lethal setting. Thoma shouts that they shouldn't make it look like they're crossing her but still run away with no matter what. Hayate pouts and thinks they shouldn't be THIS scared, sounding a little hurt. XD After the fight, Hayate whimpers in pain, causing Thoma and Lily to go into a panic attack and start apologizing desperately. XD XD Hayate asks once again about their relationship in the future. Thoma says he can't really talk about the future here and Hayate should just think that they're just being 'loved' (kawaii gatte). Lily unnecessarily pipes in the Thoma and Isis tend to cause trouble that gets the Wolkenritter angry and Hayate to scold them. Hayate smirks and says that sounds right because children shouldn't cause problems. Thoma seems to calm down enough to apologize properly for the trouble he and Isis have caused, but immediately goes back to panic mode since this isn't the time to talk about this! He and Lily escape while screaming apologies to the air. XD XD XD
That was fun. But it's not the end yet! The fifth matches selectable for the Sequence are the following: Vivio vs. Nanoha, Einhart vs. Fate and Thoma vs. Vita.
First off is of course Vivio vs. Nanoha. After the White Devil catches up with her, Vivio internally squees and Kris twitches upon seeing 'Mama~!' Nanoha, as ridiculous as it sounds talks to the much older-appearing girl like an adult talking to a lost child. Vivio doesn't mind and thinks that Nanoha-mama she loves so much is really kind since she was a kid. She steels herself regardless and announces her intention to escape. After the fight:
Nanoha: Eeehh~~~?
Vivio: Yay, victory~!
Kris: *twitch* (Dat twitching...)
Nanoha: Owie~... You're a hand-to-hand fighter, right? You're amazing.
Vivio: Nanoha-ma-Err... Nanoha-san too!
Kris: *twitchtwitch* (DAT TWITCHING!!!)
Vivio: Even in this form, I'm glad to have a match. Nanoha-san, thank you very much!
Nanoha: Yes! Same here... No, that's not it! Matte, matte~!
Vivio: SOOORRRYYyyyyy~~~~!!! *flies away*
Einhart vs. Fate goes pretty much the same way. Einhart remarks that Fate is kind since she was a kid as well. It is revealed that she has actually challenged Fate in the future to a match before. She wasn't even able to follow the Golden Flash's movements. Unlike short bursts of speed from Vivio's Jet Step training, Fate has true 'speed' as her element. Amusingly, Fate is hit by cuteness proximity after seeing Teo ("A kitty? So cute..."). Oblivious, Einhart bets on her training with the others to help her here. After the match, Fate is surprised that Einhart seems completely impervious to her attacks. Einhart denies this and says that the attacks do damage... And they hurt. It's just she just prepared herself for those kinds of attacks. HaOh-chan realizes that the time she spend in training with Vivio and the others is indeed helping her Kaiser Arts move forward! She politely thanks Fate for the match and flies away regardless. Fate neglects to pursue because she's having trouble stating that this and that matters are not the same.
Next it's Thoma vs Vita. The redheaded loli shouts at them to stop. Thoma calls her Vita-shisou in surprise. Lily goes catatonic in fear, muttering that Vita-shishou is angry. XD Vita denies ever taking any students. Vita complains about Thoma's violent looking weapon and those 'baribari' tattoos, calling him a delinquent. She also calls Lily a Unison device. Thoma and Lily both try to correct her about the 'tattoos' and being a Reactor Plug but Vita just snaps at them to come along. The two realize that Vita has always been this grumpy. After the fight, it is revealed that Vita is unable to defend against the Divider's attacks. Thoma and Lily panic and manages to shut down the Divider's effects in time. Thoma complains that Vita should hold back a bit but gets another earful. They narrowly escape.
The runaways all fly towards a confused Kyrie. After she gets the main idea, she puts on a very calm elder sister air and first apologizes, saying that the kinks of time travel are not all understood for her as well. She will talk with Amitie in order to help them.

The future characters start feeling bad for themselves for making her say these things. Hayate pokes in and asks if they can join in on the conversation. Amitie tells them to wait a bit and explains to the future-uns that she'll definitely help them later. But they need to gather in a safe place first. They finally allow themselves to be taken in. Kyrie advises that the questions about the future be kept to a minimum. Fate asks her what she's doing and Kyrie says she just wants to check something, promising not to run away.
Back in the Arthra, Amitie is talking with Levi. It seems that the complete re-activation of U-D has begun. Once she succeeds in doing so, her power will be leagues beyond what they have faced so far.

Levi wants to think that if the Materials are complete, they could take on U-D. But this is just wishful thinking. They need to find U-D before she restarts. Amita asks how's the King but Dearche is revealed to be still recovering. Levi will continue the investigation and cuts off the connection. Amita apologizes to her Variant Zapper for putting it through all this. Regardless, she would still need it's power. They, the Gears are machines for the sake of people and the world. She will definitely protect them.

The night is getting darker, and the finale is almost upon us...

But before that, next Sequence is the Florian Sister's chapter!

More evidence that this game is a giant boke/tsukkomi routine (until the end of sequence 10 anyway)

I think sequence 8 doesn't have any special gameplay notes, no battle is hard (maybe Vivio vs Nanoha but then again Buster spam) or unfair so yeah.

Sequence 9

Spoiler for Sequence 9:

This is one of the shortest Sequences. To make up for it, the difficulty level of the AI has been bumped up to make sure you'll be having a challenge.
For the first round, Chrono meets up with Kyrie, the latter wondering if the young lad is planning to ask her for a date. If yes, it should be after 3 years. (Chrono, you runt. ) Chrono ignores the flirting and says he feels Kyrie is planning something reckless. She praises his instincts, confirming that U-D's restart is nearing. If that happens, U-D will be a monster capable of wiping out 2 or 3 planets in one go. Chrono agrees that it's to be expected since it's like the Darkness of the the Book of Darkness. That's why Kyrie plans on going ahead. She says she still wants Examia. When Chrono asks if she plans on going alone. Kyrie boasts that the newer/younger machines are always superior, so she should be superior to Amita as well. She says that with her 'perfect' methods, she'll be able to pull off an even more powerful Variant Zapper Overblast than Amita, claiming that she can beat Yami-chan with it. Chrono thinks that she's simply pressured by guilt because of her actions and plans on atoning them. Kyrie tells him that he's still a kid. Even if you successfully read a woman's heart, you shouldn't put it into words. Chrono says he'll keep that in mind. If he plans on getting in the way, Kyrie will have him move by force. Chrono says that it's a team plan and solo-play is not allowed. Kyrie answers that everyone fighting together just to die is meaningless and coldly commands him to move. She defeats Chrono and heads out despite the Enforcer's protests. She wishes she really did meet him when he's already 3 years older.
The next match is vs Shamal. Our favorite doctor says she's pretty angry right now since a half-healed patient is moving around recklessly. Kyrie says that Shamal's a doctor for humans and not a machine like her. Then Mariel blared in through the comm line that a machine doctor is here as well. She requests Shamal to secure her 'patient' for her. Kyrie grumbles under her breath that people keep on doing unnecessary things. Unlike their previous match, Kyrie doesn't hold back and easily defeats Shamal. She thanks the two 'doctors' and says she must go herself. Shamal insists that they should go together. Kyrie admits that she now thinks that obtaining Examia won't likely help Eltria at this point. But because of her obsession for that single chance, she has inadvertently involved an unrelated world and its people. She definitely doesn't want that. Kyrie says that she's a Gears born for humans' sakes. If she's broken, she can just be thrown away. Machines are made to work until their eventual destruction. Shamal denies this and says that there are people who cares about her. They would be sad if she died. Mariel follows up that even if Kyrie is just a machine, she wants her to live and keep in being in good condition. She shouldn't betray the feelings of the people who made her. As Kyrie is about to reply, Amita cuts in! >:3
Kyrie: Onee-chan!
Amita: YES! I AM ONEECHAN! >:3 (In full Engrish! )
Amita scolds her sister that above just causing trouble in the first place, she's going to cause more headaches. Kyrie begins to snark back but is cut off by a panicking Mariel, saying that Amita should be far from complete recovery right now.
Amita: It's alright, Mari-san.
*CLANG!*
Amita: Kiai Zenkai! Thanks to my burning hot spirit, I'm already back to full power!
Mariel is shocked to see that Amita's readings already show a 92% recovery. Amita puffs herself up proudly. Kyrie suddenly snaps at her angrily, calling her an idiot. If she keeps on pulling reckless stuff like this off, she'll endanger her operation life span. Amita scoffs that this is nothing, leaving her also reckless sister to her own devices would cause Amita's heart's lifespan to shorten spontaneously.
Kyrie: Idiot... ~~Onee-chan... No! Amita! I hate you, Amita! I've always, always hated you so much!
Amita: Kyrie...
Kyrie: Don't get in my way! GO AWAY!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
If you manage to hit Amita with Kyrie's S.R.I., her special dialogue is filled with, "Oneechan nante, kiraiyo! Kirai!! Kirai!!! DAIKIRAI!!!!" ending with, "Onee-chan no... BAKAAAAA!!!!!" (Tsundere for her Onee-chan... Satomi Satō, good job! )
When you win, Kyrie demands why Amita was going easy on her. Oneechan Florian says that Kyrie has already stopped by herself, there's no need to fight. She gives something to Kyrie, which are the two items that she dropped earlier after fighting Fate and Shamal. (These are also required to unlock her in VS mode.) If you lose, none of these above events happen and the scene will just go to the next part. Speaking of which, this is one of the most heartwarming scenes in the game.

Kyrie: Let go...
Amita: Don't wanna. I'm not letting go.
Kyrie: That's a part of you I hate. I hate it!
Amita: Even if you hate me, I love you very much. I know you're a good girl. More importantly, you're the world's number one cutie and my beloved little sister. I love Kyrie very much.
Kyrie: Even if you say that... Do you think I'd cry and hug you back? I'm not like that... (You can pretty much hear the tears in her voice, though.)
Amita: I don't really think that. I'm just saying what I feel, and I'm just doing what I must do. Helping my little sister who looks like she's about to fall apart is Onee-chan's job. It's only natural.
Kyrie: That's why... I hate you, Onee-chan...
Shamal: Sisters can be complicated... but it must be wonderful.
Mariel: Yes... I think so too...

Have I ever mentioned that Amita is my favorite original character in this game?

She may be a man-made machine, she may be an idiot, but she's a much better person than many in the world. And she's definitely one of the best big sisters EVER in my book. =3

And then there's only Sequences 10, 11 and Sequence X to go. Almost there, guys! Thanks for reading my semi-summaries!

What? Have you not been reading? Yunno bested Vivio, the cat twins, Amita and Stern and you claim he cannot put up any resistence? Note that Stern was not using any non harm setting crap and was going at full stength and Yunno WON. Besides, give Chrono some credict will you? He got the worst treatment in MGLN as he was demoted from the original game where he is the husband of Nanoha to a weak but skilled mage whom at the same time served as the butt monkey together with Yunno in the universe.

...these are the first parts that I've read of the story, so...yeah. I don't know if that happened or not.
I'm not claiming he can't put up resistance, I'm saying that that "fight" with Einhart has him do so. Which aggravates me.

Wouldn't know about your comment on "Chrono, husband of Nanoha". ^^;

That actually comes from the Lyrical Toy Box game, a spinoff of the Triangle Hearts game. Lyrical Toy Box is pretty much the prototype for the Nanoha franchise, though instead of Fate (who didn't exist back then), it was Chrono who fulfilled the "befriended enemy" role.

Sorry to say I don't care much about Chrono, given that he, at least seemingly, gets a happy ending with Amy and is generally well liked by the fandom.

Sorry. To clearify, some fanfics in the Japanese fandom loves to make the two of them butt monkeys, the former being a thick-headed police dumb while the latter was seen as a dirty ferret whom was the main culprit in causing the mess of the Jewel Seeds.

In the game though, in Sequence 8, not only Yunno gets the short end of the stick. So did Zaffy and Nanoha whom lost to Vivio, Yunno and Fate whom lost to Einhart and Hayate and Vita whom were defeated by Touma. In story, all these fight occured at the same time as the four of them from the future were trying to burst through the lines to Kyrie and wants her to send them back.

Finally, just want to ask, is Einhart's official name Heidi Einhart Stratos Ingvault or it is just a ring name?

Except that's not the way either of them are.
And Yuuno is treated a lot worse by *everyone* in Omakes. Either intentionally, or when it's Nanoha through ignorance.
Chrono? Not so, or at least as, much.

And like I said, Chrono gets Amy and has kids, which is pretty much a happy ending.

We haven't heard anything about Yuuno since StrikerS with his one or two cameos.
There was no resolution, good or bad, for him, and he hasn't been mentioned since then.

And you didn't reference earlier chapters where Yuuno did win. So I don't know if you were telling the truth or what.

Aaron008R Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Philippines	Continuation~! *Link for Sequence 8: Part One* MGLN A's Portable: THE GEARS OF DESTINY Sequence 8: Part Two Spoiler for Sequence 8: Part Two: Continuing from where we left off, the four time travellers are gonna be forced to face and run away from two of the pursuers from Hayate's group. For the 4th matches, you have Vivio vs. Zafira, Einhart vs. Yuuno and Thoma vs. Hayate (Dun, dun, DUUUUNNN!!!). For Vivio vs. Zafira, our vivid loli is happy to see our resident Alpha wolf. She inadvertently blurts out his name. Oopsie. XD Zafira wonders why she knows him but puts that aside and tells her to come with him. Vivio wants to excuse herself, but they both agree that Zafira won't allow that. The guardian beast is surprised at the stance Vivio takes before the fight, it shows the same roots as his Fists of the Guardian style! After winning, Zafira recognizes her style as a counter-hitter. He finds it interesting and asks if Vivio is a practitioner of Striker Arts. Vivio affirms this and says she wants to talk more but can't. They would meet later in the future. Zafira oddly doesn't give chase as Vivio flies away, instead thinking that she may be a weird girl, but she's strong. Next up is Einhart vs Yuuno. Our ever-trusty ferret-boy is diplomatic with his approach. However, Einhart recognizes him as the future Head Librarian and Nanoha's teacher in magic. (Uhoh...) Forget escaping, Einhart is not gonna let this opportunity pass! Yuuno: Ano... Einhart: I'm sorry. But I'm going to defeat you and go through! Asteon: Nyaa! >:3 Yuuno: EEH?! After getting beaten, Yuuno exclaims how strong Einhart is. HaOh-chan hastily excuses herself and flies like the wind, leaving the battered and befuddled ferret-changeling behind. Here it is! The main attraction of the Sequence!! Thoma vs Hayate!!! Thoma: Geh! Commander Yagami! Hayate: Commander? What's with that? Thoma: Ahh, err... That's... Lily: (THOMA! Commander Yagami really is so small and cute! I want to pet her~! ) Thoma: (No! Even if she's that small she's Commander Hayate! She's guaranteed to be scary! ) Hayate: Ahah... I can pretty much hear you two... Do we know each other in the future? Did I do anything bad to you? Thoma: NO! Definitely not! Absolutely nothing like that! Lily: M-me, Thoma and Isis! The three of us are just being loved, that's all! (kawaiigatteiru. Don't know how to translate it any other way...) Hayate: (They really are scared... I wonder what the future me does to them.) Thoma: Anyway! We're sorry for bothering Commander Yagami. We'll be excusing ourselves now! Lily: Sorry, please excuse us! the two fly away at top speed. Hayate: Okay~ Te! Nandeyanen! You're not getting away! Thoma: DAA! I knew it! She stopped us with a lukewarm tsukkomi! Lily commands Silver Cross to go full power on a non-lethal setting. Thoma shouts that they shouldn't make it look like they're crossing her but still run away with no matter what. Hayate pouts and thinks they shouldn't be THIS scared, sounding a little hurt. XD After the fight, Hayate whimpers in pain, causing Thoma and Lily to go into a panic attack and start apologizing desperately. XD XD Hayate asks once again about their relationship in the future. Thoma says he can't really talk about the future here and Hayate should just think that they're just being 'loved' (kawaii gatte). Lily unnecessarily pipes in the Thoma and Isis tend to cause trouble that gets the Wolkenritter angry and Hayate to scold them. Hayate smirks and says that sounds right because children shouldn't cause problems. Thoma seems to calm down enough to apologize properly for the trouble he and Isis have caused, but immediately goes back to panic mode since this isn't the time to talk about this! He and Lily escape while screaming apologies to the air. XD XD XD That was fun. But it's not the end yet! The fifth matches selectable for the Sequence are the following: Vivio vs. Nanoha, Einhart vs. Fate and Thoma vs. Vita. First off is of course Vivio vs. Nanoha. After the White Devil catches up with her, Vivio internally squees and Kris twitches upon seeing 'Mama~!' Nanoha, as ridiculous as it sounds talks to the much older-appearing girl like an adult talking to a lost child. Vivio doesn't mind and thinks that Nanoha-mama she loves so much is really kind since she was a kid. She steels herself regardless and announces her intention to escape. After the fight: Nanoha: Eeehh~~~? Vivio: Yay, victory~! Kris: twitch (Dat twitching...) Nanoha: Owie~... You're a hand-to-hand fighter, right? You're amazing. Vivio: Nanoha-ma-Err... Nanoha-san too! Kris: twitchtwitch (DAT TWITCHING!!!) Vivio: Even in this form, I'm glad to have a match. Nanoha-san, thank you very much! Nanoha: Yes! Same here... No, that's not it! Matte, matte~! Vivio: SOOORRRYYyyyyy~~~~!!! flies away Einhart vs. Fate goes pretty much the same way. Einhart remarks that Fate is kind since she was a kid as well. It is revealed that she has actually challenged Fate in the future to a match before. She wasn't even able to follow the Golden Flash's movements. Unlike short bursts of speed from Vivio's Jet Step training, Fate has true 'speed' as her element. Amusingly, Fate is hit by cuteness proximity after seeing Teo ("A kitty? So cute..."). Oblivious, Einhart bets on her training with the others to help her here. After the match, Fate is surprised that Einhart seems completely impervious to her attacks. Einhart denies this and says that the attacks do damage... And they hurt. It's just she just prepared herself for those kinds of attacks. HaOh-chan realizes that the time she spend in training with Vivio and the others is indeed helping her Kaiser Arts move forward! She politely thanks Fate for the match and flies away regardless. Fate neglects to pursue because she's having trouble stating that this and that matters are not the same. Next it's Thoma vs Vita. The redheaded loli shouts at them to stop. Thoma calls her Vita-shisou in surprise. Lily goes catatonic in fear, muttering that Vita-shishou is angry. XD Vita denies ever taking any students. Vita complains about Thoma's violent looking weapon and those 'baribari' tattoos, calling him a delinquent. She also calls Lily a Unison device. Thoma and Lily both try to correct her about the 'tattoos' and being a Reactor Plug but Vita just snaps at them to come along. The two realize that Vita has always been this grumpy. After the fight, it is revealed that Vita is unable to defend against the Divider's attacks. Thoma and Lily panic and manages to shut down the Divider's effects in time. Thoma complains that Vita should hold back a bit but gets another earful. They narrowly escape. The runaways all fly towards a confused Kyrie. After she gets the main idea, she puts on a very calm elder sister air and first apologizes, saying that the kinks of time travel are not all understood for her as well. She will talk with Amitie in order to help them. The future characters start feeling bad for themselves for making her say these things. Hayate pokes in and asks if they can join in on the conversation. Amitie tells them to wait a bit and explains to the future-uns that she'll definitely help them later. But they need to gather in a safe place first. They finally allow themselves to be taken in. Kyrie advises that the questions about the future be kept to a minimum. Fate asks her what she's doing and Kyrie says she just wants to check something, promising not to run away. Back in the Arthra, Amitie is talking with Levi. It seems that the complete re-activation of U-D has begun. Once she succeeds in doing so, her power will be leagues beyond what they have faced so far. Levi wants to think that if the Materials are complete, they could take on U-D. But this is just wishful thinking. They need to find U-D before she restarts. Amita asks how's the King but Dearche is revealed to be still recovering. Levi will continue the investigation and cuts off the connection. Amita apologizes to her Variant Zapper for putting it through all this. Regardless, she would still need it's power. They, the Gears are machines for the sake of people and the world. She will definitely protect them. The night is getting darker, and the finale is almost upon us... But before that, next Sequence is the Florian Sister's chapter! *KIAI ZENKAI! MGLN A's Portable: THE GEARS OF DESTINY Sequence 9 Spoiler for Sequence 9: This is one of the shortest Sequences. To make up for it, the difficulty level of the AI has been bumped up to make sure you'll be having a challenge. For the first round, Chrono meets up with Kyrie, the latter wondering if the young lad is planning to ask her for a date. If yes, it should be after 3 years. (Chrono, you runt. ) Chrono ignores the flirting and says he feels Kyrie is planning something reckless. She praises his instincts, confirming that U-D's restart is nearing. If that happens, U-D will be a monster capable of wiping out 2 or 3 planets in one go. Chrono agrees that it's to be expected since it's like the Darkness of the the Book of Darkness. That's why Kyrie plans on going ahead. She says she still wants Examia. When Chrono asks if she plans on going alone. Kyrie boasts that the newer/younger machines are always superior, so she should be superior to Amita as well. She says that with her 'perfect' methods, she'll be able to pull off an even more powerful Variant Zapper Overblast than Amita, claiming that she can beat Yami-chan with it. Chrono thinks that she's simply pressured by guilt because of her actions and plans on atoning them. Kyrie tells him that he's still a kid. Even if you successfully read a woman's heart, you shouldn't put it into words. Chrono says he'll keep that in mind. If he plans on getting in the way, Kyrie will have him move by force. Chrono says that it's a team plan and solo-play is not allowed. Kyrie answers that everyone fighting together just to die is meaningless and coldly commands him to move. She defeats Chrono and heads out despite the Enforcer's protests. She wishes she really did meet him when he's already 3 years older. The next match is vs Shamal. Our favorite doctor says she's pretty angry right now since a half-healed patient is moving around recklessly. Kyrie says that Shamal's a doctor for humans and not a machine like her. Then Mariel blared in through the comm line that a machine doctor is here as well. She requests Shamal to secure her 'patient' for her. Kyrie grumbles under her breath that people keep on doing unnecessary things. Unlike their previous match, Kyrie doesn't hold back and easily defeats Shamal. She thanks the two 'doctors' and says she must go herself. Shamal insists that they should go together. Kyrie admits that she now thinks that obtaining Examia won't likely help Eltria at this point. But because of her obsession for that single chance, she has inadvertently involved an unrelated world and its people. She definitely doesn't want that. Kyrie says that she's a Gears born for humans' sakes. If she's broken, she can just be thrown away. Machines are made to work until their eventual destruction. Shamal denies this and says that there are people who cares about her. They would be sad if she died. Mariel follows up that even if Kyrie is just a machine, she wants her to live and keep in being in good condition. She shouldn't betray the feelings of the people who made her. As Kyrie is about to reply, Amita cuts in! >:3 Kyrie: Onee-chan! Amita: YES! I AM ONEECHAN! >:3 (In full Engrish! ) Amita scolds her sister that above just causing trouble in the first place, she's going to cause more headaches. Kyrie begins to snark back but is cut off by a panicking Mariel, saying that Amita should be far from complete recovery right now. Amita: It's alright, Mari-san. *CLANG!* Amita: *Kiai Zenkai!* Thanks to my burning hot spirit, I'm already back to full power! Mariel is shocked to see that Amita's readings already show a 92% recovery. Amita puffs herself up proudly. Kyrie suddenly snaps at her angrily, calling her an idiot. If she keeps on pulling reckless stuff like this off, she'll endanger her operation life span. Amita scoffs that this is nothing, leaving her also reckless sister to her own devices would cause Amita's heart's lifespan to shorten spontaneously. Kyrie: Idiot... ~~Onee-chan... No! Amita! I hate you, Amita! I've always, always hated you so much! Amita: Kyrie... Kyrie: Don't get in my way! GO AWAY!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!! If you manage to hit Amita with Kyrie's S.R.I., her special dialogue is filled with, "Oneechan nante, kiraiyo! Kirai!! Kirai!!! DAIKIRAI!!!!" ending with, "Onee-chan no... BAKAAAAA!!!!!" (Tsundere for her Onee-chan... Satomi Satō, good job! ) When you win, Kyrie demands why Amita was going easy on her. Oneechan Florian says that Kyrie has already stopped by herself, there's no need to fight. She gives something to Kyrie, which are the two items that she dropped earlier after fighting Fate and Shamal. (These are also required to unlock her in VS mode.) If you lose, none of these above events happen and the scene will just go to the next part. Speaking of which, this is one of the most heartwarming scenes in the game. Kyrie: Let go... Amita: Don't wanna. I'm not letting go. Kyrie: That's a part of you I hate. I hate it! Amita: Even if you hate me, I love you very much. I know you're a good girl. More importantly, you're the world's number one cutie and my beloved little sister. I love Kyrie very much. Kyrie: Even if you say that... Do you think I'd cry and hug you back? I'm not like that... (You can pretty much hear the tears in her voice, though.) Amita: I don't really think that. I'm just saying what I feel, and I'm just doing what I must do. Helping my little sister who looks like she's about to fall apart is Onee-chan's job. It's only natural. Kyrie: That's why... I hate you, Onee-chan... Shamal: Sisters can be complicated... but it must be wonderful. Mariel: Yes... I think so too... Have I ever mentioned that Amita is my favorite original character in this game? She may be a man-made machine, she may be an idiot, but she's a much better person than many in the world. And she's definitely one of the best big sisters EVER in my book. =3 And then there's only Sequences 10, 11 and Sequence X to go. Almost there, guys! Thanks for reading my semi-summaries! Dearche actively attempts to assert control in every situation and has absolutely no patience, so she reacts poorly to losing control. Hayate is patient and calm, waiting to see what is happening before attempting to manipulate a situation. So she doesn't lose her head when things are out of her control. Anyway... @TheScarletSword: I already mentioned this on Youtube, but thank you very much for all of the recordings you provided. Oh, and I also realized that I recognized Yuuno's auto-counter spell from somewhere. It looks a lot like the spell he used in the first episode in his attempt to seal the Jewel Seed. He held out his palm, creating a magical circle (what I suppose is a circle-based Field), with electric-like jolts of magical energy leaping from one to the other. In the game, his victim is caught between his hand and the circle rather than on the other side of it. In the anime, the spell did nothing until the monster leapt right into the field... which Yuuno knew it was going to do, given how it was charging directly at him. We know that conventional attack spells like Divine Buster and Thunder Rage can be used as mediums for a sealing spell, and that's likely what Yuuno was doing here. Unfortunately, I still don't have a name for either of his trapping-attack fields.

Note that Stern was not using any non harm setting crap and was going at full stength and Yunno WON. Besides, give Chrono some credict will you? He got the worst treatment in MGLN as he was demoted from the original game where he is the husband of Nanoha to a weak but skilled mage whom at the same time served as the butt monkey together with Yunno in the universe.
