So, I have just read the first volume of this manga and I have a couple of questions. Since it's about information that hasn't appeared in the anime yet I'll put it on spoilers tag:

So, in Hayate's profile page it's written that he has an elder brother. I was wondering, does he appears later in the story?

And on Maria's profile page the author says the he would love to work on her life story but he also says that a plotline with few comedy elements tend to get rejected for the manga. For those that have already read later volumes of the manga, the author ends up telling this story or not?

Hayate's elder brother hasn't appeared in the manga yet (if at all). However, it's been speculated that he is actually Himegami. Whether it's true or not, who knows! Only the author, at this point.

As for Maria, there's a touching Maria story in a later volume where she tells Hayate about her origins and that her "birthday" is Christmas Eve.

Ayumu's brother is Kazuki. His name was mentioned in the anime in ep12.
Isumi's mother is Hatsuho (Hazuho? same name as the mom in Onegai Teacher). Grandmother is Konoe and great grandmother is Ginga i think.

Oh my... after reading manga volume 12, I start to feel really bad for Hina ^_^;

Her conflicting loyalties are beginning to seriously drag her down. In this state, her feelings for Hayate are more a burden than a boon for her. Almost makes me want her to let go *wince*

Well... in a nutshell, the cursed promise she gave to Nishizawa Ayumu (back then, when she didn't have romantic ambitions herself, to support Ayumu's efforts to win Hayate's love), is beginning to kill her. Now that Hina has realized for herself clearly that she's in love with him, she's stuck in limbo and agonizing over what she should do.

To make things worse, Ayumu is being extra friendly to her, and she's giving her best to deepen her friendship with Hina. Hina fights very hard not to become a "traitor", but she doesn't succeed in telling Ayumu about it either, so she's trapped, and it's eating her up inside.

The cherry on the cake however is that she has more than enough opportunities to advance things with Hayate, but... well ^_^;

It's beginning to affect her. While in the past, Hina was an avatar of open honesty about everything, brimming with confidence, we now see her brooding and waging her inner battles (on MANY pages, she features very prominently in about 1/3rd of the tankubon). Outwardly, she's still helpful and efficient, but internally she's going through hell. She does get her share of smiles, but... it's no comparison to before.

On the plus side, this REALLY keeps the tension up. On the downside, I begin to really REALLY pity her. Confessing and being rejected can't be worse than that. However, I have a hunch that once they do begin to dissolve this gordian knot around Hina, the story is going to end. It's certainly the most "serious" issue of HnG in the past 2-3 books. Resolve it, and the story is ending.

i really really hope Hayate ends with Hina as she makes perfect sense for her to be with him. Im glad the series is 52 so as we can see this resolved if the manga does not get translated.

I admit, I'm invested in Hina to a degree which is staggering me - she's my reason to follow this show.

That said - wouldn't you agree that Hina's odyssee over the last tankubons is the most relevant non-reset development of the entire show? Or is it just my fandom?

Latest chapter I have read is 137, which is scanslated in Chinese. Raw might be ahead, but probably not by more than 1-2 chapters.

Since Tankubons number their chapters differently, hard to tell. The last chapter in 12 was the one which saw Nagi cowering before the Kerero Gunsou frog.
