The thing I appreciate most about the ending of this arc is that it's very aware of what an anticlimactic mess it was.
Now the wrap-up begins, at long last. Though we're probably going to go into omake-based episodes and fillers after this. Still hoping to see the next manga arc after this, though. And the one after that...

Well not sure they needed Natsu to break Eclipse, but I guess it helps lead to that ending moment a bit easier. It's kind of impressive that while Natsu still wouldn't be considered the strongest out there they still find a way to have him beat every major opponent they run into .
Might have been more interesting if Rogue stayed dark and bitter to the end. I think after all that stuff that he's been through that not much would shake him from his stance. Though maybe it just reflected his hopelessness. All he has to look forward to after all is the eventuality where Acnologia finds him and kills him. They really do need to come up with a new name for the Dragon Slayers. Right now the best dragon slaying they have on the record is assisting with suicides and honestly I'm not even sure how Sting and Rogue pulled that off. They could have laid there saying "kill me" and it's not like either kid should have had the power to pull that off. But now that is that. They've now got a year to figure out how the heck they are going to avoid getting massacred. At least having that warning ahead of time may help. Despite all this arc didn't get right, I liked the ending of the episode. Lucy meeting everyone in I presume the afterlife. She got the job done and now can rest. Similar the Lucy of the present can just take a moment to absorb everything. Does make me think about poor future Levy. I presume she's still alive and living in a nightmare....

12 Gates of Zodiac vs The Portal = no damage
Future Rogue vs Natsu, the final showdown. Guess nothing can be done without Natsu. Rogue was defeated and portal destroyed in one swift move. The dragons disappeared shortly after that. So did the everything from the future. It kinda seemed too easy. I'm thinking there must be more to it.. Future Rogue spilled some Frosch info to Natsu. Still, that's not something mayor. Guess that arc is over...

And another anti-climatic ending. In the manga, learning that destroying Eclipse would fix things and destroying Eclipse happened in the same chapter, so it felt even worse there.
Loved the ending with Future Lucy though. You know I had completely forgotten about Frosch being killed. EDIT: According to the next list of episodes, the next three episodes will be one chapter adaptions. Not to happy about that. Last edited by MCAL; 2014-09-06 at 17:34. |

i'm really wish their goes to use the 5 omakes plus the novel to make some fillers episodes before goes to sun village arc and tartarus, i dont have much problem since i like both anime and manga and since mashima high support anime and many of its fillers are canon(let's say like the spin offs who mashima is also supporting the anime is also another canon material). if i survived to a 24 episdes arc filler then i can survive to another and i dont have problem if their put some fillers between each manga arc adaptated. if their use all the fives plus the novel probably we can get at last a 12 episodes arc. currently we have in omakes: 413 days she's erza frosh natsu & asuka fairy tail punishiment but if we go back in time the manga still have some "old omakes who can be retcon to be part of the anime like: mira's magic lesson fary tail fount Whose Clothes are These? lucy photoshop 4 old(have others but that are the ones who i see more like good material), the anime team have a prenty good amount of material from the manga and novel to work and make some good filers if their want, without looking too much original content and give prenty of time to mashima create more chapters.

I must say, though, the expanded material in this episode was great. We actually got a bit of closure on the whole "Future Levy" thing, which led to an adorable little GajeelxLevy moment. Not only that, but that ending... That has got to be the most adorable thing I've ever seen in my life. They didn't really didn't need to add a scene for Princess Hisui to be forgiven for her actions, but... gosh dangit, it made me feel all fuzzy inside for everyone to stand up for her like that! It was just like the extra scenes with Galuna Island, where Fairy Tail celebrated with the demons and made up with the villains, it was just so likeable. And come to think of it, this was the first time we've ever really seen the king and princess interact with each other. It just makes me feel so good after this less-than-stellar climax! Can't wait to see what sort of padding will occur next week. That said... they really could've given Natsu a better outfit at the end...

LMAO. I just can't get the image of Erza pulling Happy out of her bosom like that out of my head. That was so freaking hammer-dimension I don't even have the words. I mean, I know she has requip magic and all, but that's just ridiculous... XD

So the anime doing 1 chapter a episode kind of being too safe but i can see the point in that they arent trying catch up to the manga. Maybe they should of waited like until 200 chapters were out before restarting the anime they what stop at 296 or something maybe a little over a 100 than. But it good filler, just wish they do like 2 chapters instead of 1 it'll take like a year to get to tartrus arc. so if they wait until like 200 chapters in it be like early-mid 2016 for the anime to return, kind of wish mad house got the new fairy tail anime. Wish madhouse did a remake of Rave too.

Party time!
It was kinda weird seeing everyone dressed up. Gray was too naked again ^^" Juvia was really cute. Shame Gray still doesn't share her feelings. Natsu was AWOL for some reason.. But he sure knows how to make an entrance. This arc was wrapped up nicely.

She looked pretty darn cute with that hairstyle.
Relaxing episode. All the girls looked good in dresses. Sting and Rouge looked mighty fine as well. I enjoy these interactions more then the recent fights. Well, fights weren't all that great in the first place...
