Can anyone else confirm, just to make sure it's not just on my end?

Just making sure, you're saving the JPEGs with the ICC/colour profile not embedded, right? I know it's happened before in the previous contests where people forgot about disabling the embedding of the colour profile, causing issues when the banner was tested against the background gradient...

I'm sorry but how do I save it with ICC/colour profile not embedded??? I'm worried because I really made sure already that anything that could be on the sides would be deleted. If it's just a way of saving my banners howwww???

I think it's looking better now!
Banner 1 Test Banner 2 Test I need someone to verify for me though, it's a little tricky doing this via remote desktop.

It is greatly minimized from before, but yeah, I can still them too. Up to you if you'd like to fix them or not at this stage; I thought the deadline was the 25th tbh?

I don't think I'm seeing the problem but since some people are, this is version of the gradient with the ICC profile removed:
If you have the psd file try to just replace the old gradient with this. The voting phase will start next monday (June 30) so fixing is still allowed for defective banners until then.

to be precise, the given gradient has a more smoother transition from yellow to blue
in ahelo's banners' gradient, I'm not sure what the right term is but I think it's a bit pixelized in a way or the transition of colors isn't as smooth as the given gradient. I think it's because of the filesize 10-11kb is pretty small, s/he can highten up the quality more. It's still ways before the size limit anyway I suggest saving with a higher quality. either that or it's the image hosting site's problem I've had similar problems before. For whatever reason, imgur seem to always lower the quality of images that I had saved on PS whereas it doesn't do anything if the image is saved on GIMP

^ Try to accept the change maybe? and see how it turns out.
--------------- This is quite confusing for sure. Seems like everyone sees the banner differently. After I compared your initial entries with the revised ones, it's only the 1st banner that might need some edge-smoothing. Here's how they look on my monitor: The top is the initial entry, while the bottom is the revised one (Click for full size): Banner 1: As you can see, the yellow-marked area is gone after the revision, I believe this is the one mentioned by Pelissier. The purple areas are already there since the initial entry, a "chopped" transition as there are some "vertical lines" clearly dividing the gradient and the BG. Very visible only on the left in my view, so you might want to fix that. The right one is very very slight so it's up to you, I only marked it in case you want to fix it too. Banner 2: Quite the same as banner 1, and the purple area on the right side is even more invisible compared to banner 1 so it doesn't really need any fixing. In short, the revisions are already fine in what I see and if there's anything needs more smoothing, they're only the areas I marked with purple color, and this is only optional too. I'm thinking it's the purple areas that the others reported after your revisions, but maybe they see something that I can't see (the yellow areas still persist or something else).

I think I'm just gonna submit the very latest one if the problem is that minimal (and unless a mod says it's not fine) because honestly I don't see anymore visible lines unless I squint my eyes and turn my laptop like 180 degrees or something ( and even then it's not only my banners that would have this problem).

Congratulations to all the winners! Everyone's banners were amazing and it must have been a really tough competition. I am perfectly happy to be part of the Honourable Mentions since I tried to improve myself compared to the Winter contest I took part in. This is a big achievement for me. Thank you all!

I barely made it and glad that all of my favourites also made it to the winners.
Seeing them put up properly on the forum do feel nice and for some reason it matches the "summer" atmosphere in my area (it's warm yet also very cold because the sun shines brightly but the air is freezing + it almost rains all day ). Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone who participated and voted!
