Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei novels are licensed

Since Yen Press has licensed the Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Light Novels, the following types of discussion are no longer allowed:
  • Asking where you can find Mahouka LN downloads or fan translations.
  • Providing links to Mahouka LN downloads or fan translations.
  • Discussing Mahouka LN fan translators or fan translation groups past or present.
  • Asking for help finding Mahouka LN downloads or fan translations.
These rules applies to fan translations (in English or any other language) and the raws alike.

You still are allowed to discuss the novel, that has not changed, but please remember to limit the discussion to the story.
Discussion about the license can be found in the "Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei novels have been licensed by Yen Press" thread, please use it to discuss aspects of the license.

If a Mod notices anyone breaking these rules then expect to be banned from the forums. It's unlikely a warning will be given and do not expect to be notified, you will just be banned. Please use the Report button if you notice any of the above rules being broken.

Regarding the use of translated novel passages as quotations in discussions, you may use translated quotes in your discussion posts under these conditions.

1) The quote must be used to support your discussion post. It can't be the reason for the quote.

2) The quote should be obviously related to your overall point. If your quote supports your point in the first paragraph, talks about something else for a few paragraphs, then goes back to supporting your point, edit the quote to only the relevant parts.

3) Do not say where you got your quote from. You can mention that the quote is from volume xx but don't say where you got the translation from. If someone asks you where it came from, don't answer.

4) The quote shouldn't be too long.
