Anyway, I'm in the same boat as you, Flash_Squirrel regarding positioning and cropping, but it is of course entirely up to the user. I try not to be too personally biased, though it does creep in inevitably. ^_^

9/10 - for you Flash, I don't think you've ever made an avatar I would rate below 9. Keep at it

Vicious = 8/10 Best B/W I've seen so far, that's hard to do, really.
Guu = 8/10 I thought it was boring until I saw the "Yamete..." That makes it subtle-nasty. Yeah!
Gravitation 8/10 Using a sig image that matches the avatar is stylish, a lot of others have been using the same image (smaller in the avatar) or something very close which seems cheap.

Props to who knows where I got my avator from, super-sized if you know which ep?

Oh, is that what it is? I was having trouble keeping within the file size limits... the animation is around 9 seconds after all. ^_^ This is only the 2nd avatar I've ever made, anyone remember the first one?: HA HA HA HA HA Ugh, looks awful now.

Is there a motion alternative to animated GIF? All I know of is that one and Flash.

Jewelry and Plasmasword 7/10 The images are good, but adding small text as a motion gif seems like an afterthought.
