Yea the MC's relationship with the catgirl felt too forced. The thing that drew me most to this story was how the MC has dragon blood. I'm a big fan of dragons and can never have enough of em.

I'm curious at the reaction chapters if he meets another of his dragon kind.

Spoiler: Are all Japanese so humble/oblivious or is the MC just special? If I wasn't reading his PoV, I would say he's just showing off, that guy. And, er, for a former slave to recover from her trauma (previous life or beating) and adapt to her new way of life over the course of just five days feels odd to me. And when she actually slapped the MC after he saw her skin a little, I was like... Like, dude... It's not even a week since he plucked you out of slavery! And you went and beat him up? Jeeze, where did you even have the time to develop shyness? You were wearing scraps for most of your life. Still, I look forward for more chapters. MC is in a very interesting situation.
