Is the take-away here that you're actually a bit "tsundere" towards the show yourself? You hate to begrudgingly admit that the show isn't as horrible as it "rightfully deserves" to be?

Frankly put I think this show is pure forgettable marketed drivel, the sister is little more then taking Haruhi, making her an otaku, and say, Kyon's sister at once. It just urks me that the show looks so god damn good because to me that's just such a waste. There are other shows out there this season that would have greatly benefited from the same tender love and care, and when this show is said and done I think it's visual appeal is about the only positive thing it had to rely on as the story and characters are pretty weak otherwise.

The light novels for Ore No were really good sellers... it makes sense for them to spend money on the anime in that regard... also it seems that AIC and it's different branches are actually stepping up a lot in regards to animation, with this and Sora no Otoshimono Forte having much better animation than most shows airing this season. (Star Driver is head and shoulders above everything though)

You should be mad @ other studios for putting out crap instead of being mad that AIC and its sub divisions are producing good stuff. Ore No having crap production values doesn't mean another show you think deserves better is going to get more of a budget.. doesn't work that way...

I'm calling it now. "Irony" will be the best OP song of fall season. Sweet jesus, I can't stop playing it after I've heard it once.. simply amazing stuff from kz. Hopefully, its animation sequences would meet my expectations.

Anyways, the adaptation was way better from what I'd thought. Its VAs, character designs, color palettes, scripts, and direction have been captured the overall worth from the Light Novel. Good job, AIC build. Looking forward to some twists and turns next week.

On a side note, I still can't say the title continuously without reading.

After watching this, I went to read the first volume of the LN. Really out of my expectations, in a good way. Never plan to add this anime to my busy schedule, but I'm going to LOL. Think I'm going to prioritize this over MM! for my LN reading list.

He uses the name 織田廣之 as animator [Bamboo Blade, FMA, Rozen Maiden, Minami-ke], HSP in NICONICO動畫, Hiroyuki ODA as music writer [and wrote many of Hatsune Miku's music], has his own dojinshi circle "tabgraphics",

And yes he also involved in Ero-Games made by FISHCAFE and PajamasSoft.

And he is also a self-proclaiming "greatest Neko-mimi [Cat Ears] artist in the world "

Agree with Mater Chibi here, by volume 4 there is more than enough hint that Kirino has Brother Complex, though she's try her best not to let Kyosuke notice. On the other hand, Kyosuke have shown any sister complex yet, even though he does go out of his way to please Kirino's requests.

Back to anime, the first episode is very well done. The character designs are great. I actually like it more than both the NL illustrations and manga version as both version seems to be a bit too cute despise Kirino being a model while the anime version also shows a bit of attractiveness in addition to the cuteness shown in the other two versions.

I can't wait for KuroNeko and Shiori to show up. KuroNeko banzai!!!!!!

Major dissappointments for me.
1. Its 100% overrated, coming from such a good-selling vn.
2. To me, Kirino is just another plain cutie-tsundere act with a weird hobby, this doesnt make her stand out at all.
3. Her bro was much more interesting, and i found myself to say "What the ...." with him throughout the entire first episode.
Production quality wise - normal, coming from AIC. I have seen better from Campanella episode 1.

The first episode was definitely a blast. My expections were high and all turned out to be true. Im glad, that this anime turns out be be good(from the voice artists, anime quality and autentic look from the manga and novel).

Also, its interesting to have Kyouske with the same voice as Okazaki Tomoya from Clannad. This voice has a kinda "dont go on my nerves","i dont realy care" feeling, that suits the character perfect.
