Which is exactly the point. Benio isn't just a main character of the spin-off, she's also a main character of the main manga. Instead of getting the best of both worlds by having them both together we now have two halves that each do their own thing but added together don't equal the same.

Absolute bullshit. Had you not known that those Benio chapters are published separately - you wouldn't even guessed these are two separate mangas telling one story. Same as if the author was jumping back and forth in the original manga. The whole shitstorm is just a couple of fans with hurt feelings (for reason I still can't really get). Nothing more.

Oddly enough even Tumblr doesn't have this problem.

You say you like a like that better for Benio than Rokuro? Seriously? Do you think Rokuro would rape her without a second thought or kill her? Kamui would do that kind of thing. If you think Benio is a masochist and would enjoy being with someone like Kamui, there's something wrong with you.

You're right, the two halves separate don't equal the same thing. It can equal something better. BY telling different stories in the media best suited for it, the writer can enhance the overall experience.

@Emilia: I'm just trying to understand why anyone can like someone like Kamui with Benio. It's not about him being evil because there are evil characters in some series that even I like. Heck, if it weren't for him trying to rape Benio, I'd like Kamui better, too. Just not better than Rokuro or better for being with Benio than Rokuro. Rokuro wouldn't kill someone's parents for the same reason as Kamui killed Benio's for.

• Others female counterpart of "twin star" already visited Chinu in the past
• She said to Benio "all you are doing is repeating this same route many, many times"
• The twin star exorcists don't have spiritual guardians
• Benio is a kegare with human skin, thats the true nature of the "Taiyin"s, they dominate the supreme yin's aura and became the Kegare's princess

Then Chinu shows a flashback to Benio
• Before the battle started 1000 years in the past, in the real world, the Kegares and the Yin aura were inexistent. A certain group was thinking: "to destroy the Kegare king, we need the same powers of him". Then one person was in charge of this, he made researchs with the people transformed by the Kegare king, removing the yang aura of the humans. The result was a monster who amplificate the yin aura, the kegares. That was the birth of the yin aura in the real world, the birth of Chinu and others kegares. The man? Of course is Ashiya Douman.

• But before Douman create the "super yin soldiers", Seimei already was disappeared with the Kegare king on Magamo.

• The Kegare king couldn't be defeated only with the yin or only with yang aura. The twin star exorcists was created by Seimei and Douman.
The supreme yang receptacle: Taiyang (is this case is Rokuro)
The supreme yin receptacle: Taiyin (is this case is Benio)
They need to join and give birth to the final yin and yang form, the miko "Taiji". This is the method to exorcise the Kegare king

• If Benio want her real powers, she need to awake her kegare's power, but in this case she never will became a human again. But even is this case, Benio want to do the ritual.

• Before the ritual start, Chinu talk about the others "Taiyin"s before Benio. She said some of the girls cursed yourselfs after heard the real story, some became crazy and even committed suicide, some even escape of her own duty and... the larger proportion of the girls wanted to make the ritual but lost to the kegare's powers and died. Only 2 or 3 have succed but she doesn't known what happened with thoose girls, maybe died in fight, was exorcised because they became a kegare or the "Taiyang" died before. The result was the same, the miko "Taiji" wasn't born and the Kegare king wasn't killed.

• Well, in the end, it's just the crazy kegare girl arrived and want to kill Benio.

So it's not just Benio. All of the female Twin Stars had the Yin aura, Kegare's power. I just Benio isn't killed by other exorcists from being a Kegare after this ritual. If she's killed, the Miko won't be born in this era either. And that would be bad.

I wonder if the Miko was both Ashiya Douman and Seimei's idea. Or just Ashiya Douman's.

Anyway, I'm happy to know about this now.

PS: BTW, I just forgot to comment. The chapter 49 of the main series looks incredible for what I read of the raws. Like you said @konart, when I was thinking that part was the climax, then the end was much better.

Abe no Seimei is not a "he", but a "she", right? She's Rokuro's mother. I do want more information on that, though.

But yeah, the thing about Twin Star Exorcists not having spiritual guardians explains why Rokuro's power comes from his mother, who never actually died. That should mean Ashiya Douman is also still alive, since Benio's power comes from him.

I do also want to know why Chinu looks like Seimei.

For what I understand reading the chapter: Douman faction want to use the same power of Kegare king, the yin aura, he even try to create the "super-soldiers" with only yin aura, but before that Seimei vanished in Magamo with the Kegare king. Nothing was told about Seimei, but probably she try to only use the aura of humans, the yang aura, because she is of other faction. For what I understand all of this became a coincidence in the final, because if they join the yin aura of "Taiyin" and the yang aura of "Taiyang", one person will born with both auras and became capable to destroy the Kegare king. • For the part "The twin star exorcists don't have spiritual guardians" Chinu explain the twin star exorcists use enchanted powers because they receive it of the guardians who still alive in the world and of ancestral spirits who live in many differents dimensions and possess yang aura. But you need to training to use more power. • Ah, one thing that I forgot to comment. In the flashback, even Benio thinks Seimei and Chinu looks alike but nothing was told about that, about why the resemblance. PS: BTW, I just forgot to comment.
