The first 2017 issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine is revealing on Thursday that Keisuke Itagaki's Baki (New Grappler Baki: In Search of Our Strongest Hero) manga is getting a television anime adaptation. The announcement notes that future issues of Weekly Shōnen Champion will reveal more details about the series.

Premise for the new anime:

The "Most Evil Death Row Convicts" arc features underground ring fighters in the no-rules combat environment of death row convicts. The OAD will highlight five individuals from prisons around the world who "long to know defeat." The five individuals break out of their respective prisons and head to Japan.

Premieres Summer 2018 in Japan

The staff of the upcoming anime adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki's Baki (New Grappler Baki: In Search of Our Strongest Hero) manga announced on Wednesday that Netflix will premiere the anime in summer 2018 inside Japan, and in fall 2018 outside of Japan.

The older series cut a lot of the violence shown in the manga. The new series, at least in the first episodes, kept all the violence, completely uncensored.

even the TV version is quite violent

I believe that because the anime is broadcast after 0:00, while the old one was broadcast during the daytime if I'm not wrong.

and speaking of it, in episode 2 they did a fight in CG, already I saw that a lot of people will be angry because of this.

I think this CG fight was decently made because they kept it at a smooth framerate and wasnt distracting.
