They're paralyzed from the neck down. Inuyashiki said they would be unable to even eat on their own or kill themselves no matter how much they wished for it.

I'd recognise that voice anywhere. That characteristic "falling in love with the wrong guy" voice.

Looks like Hiro finally learnt that indiscriminate killing is wrong and faaaaaaaaaaar too late (though he still has no problem stealing).

I loved the Hiro's Friend and Inuyashiki conversation, was the point how inuyashiki always doubt what he is and now he have the determination to stop hiro.

The whole superhero training of inuyashiki was pretty funny as seems he will need a lot of time to reach hiro's level of control

Hiro is so real is so uncanny, yes is a psychopath teenager and act too much when you give superpower to one with pretty low opinion on peoples but as a person he at least care for his family and beloved people...that is so contrasting and unsettling, the maximum altruist(inu) vs the maximum egoist(hiro)

So what is hiro plan? stagging his death in a spectacular fashion or something?

Lots of progression this week. Ando managed to meet Inuyashiki and more or less became his side-kick. I like that he is able to see Inuyashiki for what he truly is. The fact Inuyashiki doesn't consider himself a hero after everything he has done is the mark of a true hero. IMO being turned into robots simply brought out Inuyashiki and Hiro's true nature.

We reached a turning point for Hiro. He had resolved not to kill anymore for the sake of his mother, but it's not like he actually understood just how heavy his crimes are, nor did he regret his actions. He's still a sociopath through and through. His new life just went down the drain anyway, with the police finally catching up to him. I feel bad for his mom. It's not her fault he turned out this way.

I wonder what's with Hiro turning into a human again. Did he exploit all his powers? Still, that cliffhanger

He didn't. That was a dream.

The part with Andou was pretending that he needed help gave me a chuckle.

It's interesting to see that Hiro does have a softer side for his family, in particular his mother. It's too bad she doesn't know that her son is the one doing the killings. (or yet at anyway) I think Hiro was devastated to hear what his mother would do if she found out that he is the murderer on the news.

Somehow, I liked the character chemistry between old Man Inuyashiki and Andou. It's strangely entertaining just with their small talk.

Looks like Hiro's actions have finally caught up with him, and right when he decided to stop killing too. It's not like he stopped killing because he grew a conscience though, so I can't really feel too bad for him. If anything, I feel more bad for his mother.

So you do feel a little for him?

Think about the people he killed including the little boy who pretty much drowns underneath his dad's body. Bang. Bang. Bang.

Are you still feeling for him a little?

My utmost loathing is reserved for Hiro. Alas! the police won't be any match for Hiro. Looking forward to the carnage in the upcoming episode.

I wonder why there is almost no compliment about the anime art being quite faithful to that of the manga.

we all know that doing something like this is not easy.

The art is not bad by any means, but with all the CGI peppered here and there it also has some disappointing moments.

It's very serviceable, don't get me wrong, but not really the one thing that jumps to one's eye as deserving praise. The plot and characters tend to stand out more IMHO, not just because they're plain good, but because they're pretty unusual for anime standards (like the whole bit about having a 58 year old protagonist).

I would understand if all the episodes were the same as the first, but with the exception of the first, there were contained uses of scenes with CG, episode 4 used only for a few seconds and I believe they did it to fit that scene into the manga. I think it's unfair to say that a 23-minute episode was crap just because it used CG for a few seconds, and still has the merit of keeping the art constant most of the time.

My point wasn't that it is crap. It's not. It's just not that good to deserve special praise. People tend to focus on plot because that's where the juicy bits to discuss are. Art-wise, this show works nicely, but it doesn't blow any minds.

I did not mention you, but rather that many people in other forums say that anime is crap. I did not also say that the art is perfect, but that being faithful to the original is a positive point which is rather inconsiderate.

So the reason why hiro going around killing family's because of his issue with his father leaving his mom for another family?

Some viewers in the thread suggested that it was an experiment for him to see how he would feel. In another word, he was trying to get in touch with his inner self.

I think it was made pretty clear by how it's presented in outright contrast with Inuyashiki's actions - it's his way to elicit emotions in himself so that he still feels human. Just like for Inuyashiki those emotions are created by saving lives, for Hiro they're created by extinguishing them. They probably are feelings of empathy and guilt, even, but so dull and far between that to him they feel like an amusing unusual distraction rather than a torment.
