Actually, they probably wouldn't even need Dark Matter, just by studying Mikoto they could get all they need.

Physical capabilities can be enhance through various machines, thought process can be made faster. Deflecting bullets made possible.

Possible path for her to generate anti matter? Here's a part of a science story I read that mentioned using powerful electromagnetic fields on a vacum which when strong enough would cause anti matter to spontaneously appear:

There are some benefits in studying Accelerator even if they can't replicate Vector Change. For example his improvement to his choker could lead to better devices to hook up to other people to increase their computing skills... There's no reason it can't be copied.

Then there's other application of his powers like using wind power alone to achieve speeds of a fighter jet... Lets not forget how he created plasma from compressed air- this could be the proto type to the low stability plasma cannon used in [Heavy Object].

(Disclaimer: I don't really know how a low stability plasma cannon is suppose to work)

Heck commercial-wise, they could even market skin-care products if they really wanted to

In Jojo's Bizarre Adventure people devlop superpowers in the form of Stands. Stands are sort of difficult to explain but the best I can say is that they are the ghostly manifestations of usually one power or talent a person has and they are given to a person in an artificial yet supernatural way. In other words, a magically made psychic. Does this qualify as a hybrid of sorts?


Also, a possible loophole in the whole "psychics can't use magic" rule. A psychic can't use magic because their body gets destroyed, but what if they were able to separate their, for lack of a better term, "metaphysical" selves from the physical? Would they be able to use magic then?

Okay so, I'm sure that a few people already have this theory but I haven't seen it and I just wanted to write it down:

Gunha (the #7 level 5) is a holistic esper

Spoiler for Evidence:

First of all we should note that Gunha is a gemstone, as in he wasn't turned into an esper by Academy City. Now it's possible that gemstones can only turn into AC espers, but as there hasn't been anything saying that I am going to assume that they can be either.

The second point is that nobody can explain what Gunha's power is, even in a city thirty years ahead of everybody else. Even he can't explain it. I think the reason for this is that they are all looking for the wrong kind of power. They (and he) are looking for a microscopic power, while he has a macroscopic one. They are trying to find his power the same way that they would find any other power, looking at the microscopic changes. However he's actually making macroscopic changes. As a result they can't figure out what his power is no matter how hard that he tries.

Thirdly note that a lot of characters from side stories have become more important in New Testament (Birdway, Ollerus, Brunhild, etc)

Now the first point against this theory is that Othinus went to all that trouble to prove that holistic espers exist, so why would she need to if there was one already? The answer to this is that she simply doesn't know about him. As for why Ollerus knew about it but she didn't: well Ollerus say anything about it until they actually fought iirc so it's entirely possible that he just recognized it as they fought, and not liking Othinus very much he neglected to tell her.

Another point against the theory is that Gunha was trained by the Kihara research institute, so when Kagun found out about the holistic esper why didn't he put two and two together? Well there are two possibilities to explain that: the first simply being he never worked on Gunha. He was a teacher for a while before he left AC so it's possible he wasn't working there when Gunha was there. Or even if he was he just never got the chance, his field of study didn't have anything to do with that and there are thousands of other Kihara's after all. Secondly even if he did work with Gunha and put two and two together, then it's entirely possible that he didn't tell anybody just so that he could put together the fight with Byouri. He was very dedicated to getting to fight her on even ground, and he knew that the testing scenario would be the perfect opportunity to fight her.

So that's my theory and evidence. What does everybody think?

I still think is Gunha but I also know according to what is stated it isn't possible.

Remember the curriculum is not only to develop esper powers, but to increase them as well.

While I'm not in a position where I can assure if he went under or not, it is safe to assume he went since it is stated all students must undergo the curriculum.

Ok a thought about something in the new movie coming out. I'll put this in spoiler tags since I'm not well versed on if it qualifies as such. I posted it here since it's discusses something in the movie, but not really the movie as a whole. And it's rather sciency/technical. :P

I've read that there will be a space elevator in the new movie. As we all know such a structure isn't going to last long given the general chaos that goes on in AC so (we all know what happened to their "super computer in space" right? :P )...

If the space elevator gets destroyed I do hope it falls up and not down otherwise they will be making a big physics mistake.

My knowledge of space elevator physics may be rusty but from the types of space elevator's I'm aware of, the centrifugal force of the Earth's spin is what is supposed to keep a space elevator aloft. Theoretically you could simply build a rigid structure to go that high but it would be impractical. Probably even by Academy City standards.

But it all depends on how it gets blown up/damaged or whatnot. If it's destroyed at the base, then the whole thing will likely just fly up into orbit and will be rather uneventful for those on the ground unless there's a little "whiplash" in the cord like material that they end up using as the tether for the elevator and it happens to strike a nearby building or something on it's way up. :P

If in the unlikely event they use a ridged structure to "hold" it up, then of coarse the entire thing will just fall to the ground since most likely it won't be built at the right hight for any significant portion of it to fly up through centrifugal force.

However, if the top of the elevator gets blown up, then that would be the only instance I can think of where 90% of the entire structure could fall back to earth. The material holding it to the ground must be light but strong. Thus the structure they have on top must be heavy and have enough mass so that the spin of the earth can keep proper tension on the cord or whatever material they chose to build it with. So if the top gets yanked off, gravity takes the cord back down since that mass is no longer "pulling" it up. The rules on taking down a tower would work in reverse for a space elevator. To make it fall to earth you destroy the top and not the bottom. :P

A proper space elevator held in place by a light corded type material (like nano-tubes of some kind or some other super light material) that would have a permanent mass on top to act as the ballast, The elevator it self (the part that moves up and down) must always have less mass and less mass in it then that ballast otherwise it will be pulled down via gravity and the structure will fail. Thus "pulling" it down is another viable way of destroying it and having it fall to Earth.

Something Accelerator might try if he happens to be the one to destroy it. You wouldn't have to pull it very far either. Just enough where it gets too low for the centrifugal force to keep it up and then gravity would just do the rest of the work. Unless Accelerator is in a hurry to get it down. :P

I will be very interested to see how they chose to render this elevator. I have not seen a single show or movie that features this technology, so it will be interesting.

Another thing would be to see how they handle what goes on in the elevator when it's at the very top in space. Logically they should place it high enough so that people on the top would feel the centrifugal force and be pulled to the ceiling in a "artificial gravity" sort of way. That way it could be useful for extended stays without the usual high orbit health issues you get for staying in zero g for so long.

If they want to do any micro gravity/zero gravity experiments, they can simply lower the elevator down to a height of their choosing. They could then simulate varying degrees of gravity. Mars gravity, moon gravity or zero gravity. One of the perks of having a space elevator. :P

Also the elevator will have a cargo limit. They can't put more stuff in it then what the ballast on top weighs. But one could simply send up smaller objects to add on to that ballast should they decide to "upgrade" it's cargo limit in the future. That and the strength of the material holding it to Earth is the ultimate limit.

Kamachi can be rather 'liberal' when it comes to physics, but he tends to be quite on the ball with the latest in technology development (at the very least I haven't heard anyone here calling him out on the machines he had built in New Testament so far ) so it's quite likely he would apply most of what you've mentioned into his own space elevator and then some.

However keep in mind though that this is a movie, not a documentary we probably won't see most of the subtle details on screen.

I think macross is the series with better use of technology, I think I was more impressed by "Big weapon" dancing around bullets while building a base.

The HsF-00 technology already exist, you can resupply a jet in mid fly, also to reuse the heat of the fuselage and friction are already on use for electric cars.

Well that's the beauty of it- he's using technology that is already in existence.

Personally, Macross has never done anything that I didn't expect out of a machine, maybe it's because of it's higher level science fiction style that's why nothing quite surprises me... Or maybe because in Light Novel form I get to savor all the little numbers...

If we describe the AC esper abilities as something like "the power to turn A into B" like in The Law of Ueki, here are some powers that fit:

* Graviton Bomber - The power to turn aluminum into bombs.
* Dark Matter - The power to turn imaginary materials into real materials.
* Dummy Check - The power to turn oneself into an illusion.
* Measure Heart - The power to turn an opponent into (an opponent)'s loved one.
* Electromaster - The power to turn air into electricity.
* Pyromaster - The power to turn air into fire.

It's notable that some powers like Vector Redirection, Teleporter and Move Point have no discernable ways to describe in an "A into B" format.

Lucifer, instead of being a "mere" angel, was a DRAGON (Aiwass type of being), charged with the duty of purifying GOD (Or the universe as a whole) in case the universe was unsatisfying according to Gods standards. How to do it?

Imagine Breaker works by "normalizing", but normalizing into what state of normalization? Lucifer decided to normalize the universe into something he wasn0t supposed to, and that is why he was rendered as "malfunctioning", and thrown from "heaven", dragging with him who knos how many angels. By faling, all angelic beings undergo corruption, and therefore, Lucifer was corrupted into what is "commonly known as a Dragon", becoming a being inferior to Michael (the red dragon or SATAN), spreading that corruption to other angels, and creating the specie.

In order to avoid wreaking havoc, the las sane part of himself redefined the "state of normalization" of his Imagine breaker into what it currently does, and using it in himslef=Dragon. Then, he further limited its power by forcing himself to reincarnate. Most of imagine breaker powers is used in limiting the Dragon.

if correct, this hypothesis fits with a few things:

Why Othinus crushed the dragon? Othinus represens a God, and therefore can easly crush the dragon as the corrupted. Hopefully, REAL DRAGONS (Aiwass like beings) are superior to politeistics Gods, and therefore, now that the Dragon is destroyed, what is now in Kamijou's arm is its original form...


Why was Fiamma frightened of the Dragon? Come on, no matter that God's right seat draw their powers form angels, they still never evolved, and therefore, even with Michaels power being superior to the Dragon, Fimma can't be stronger than a full fledged "demon": Even more so if said demon is probably the original.

Why was Terra dissapointed on Touma's strenght? If my theory is correct, IB can basically turn reality (or at least the reality of whatever is within IB range) into an illusion, redefine reality and break the illusion, leaving the new redefined reality.

Finally, this power would fit with Touma's catchphrase, and with his last name

Hi i am new here and I wanted to post this idea. I just want to know if my idea is possible.

So a "Personal Realtiy" is basically a person's own view of the world or a personalize version of it, base own the individual own thoughts and ideas.

a person can input new set of value to this "Personal Realtiy" to increase thier own esper abiliities like Accel when he first awaken or the Dark May project, which is about inputing Accel's thought patterns into other esper users to futher advance thier own power.

Misaka Tabikake is saided that he can "see what the world lacks."
A Personal Reality can be seen as a world and thus he can help a esper develop his/or her power,by helping esper realise something important, kinda like how a therapist works or the Dark may project.
