Sigh, the family members are in your party because the story (and the demo) starts when your family was escaping the darkspawns. Obviously as you progress, there will be more people to join your party...

... Like cousins heh

But no, seriously, there will still be romance.

Now that you think about it, the chance of "incest" is going to be low, since it might not be good enough to actually have "feelings" for your family members.. So I suppose the only romance options will be the new people that join your party.

I think that I actually saw on BioWare social forums that some member was asking if Hawk's sister is a romance option. I don't think any dev answered that though....

I'll pick male character as always, and then after second playthrough or third, depending if there are multiple endings and lots of interesting love options, I'll pick a female next.

I believe they've already said that if any toolset would be released for DA2, it'd be released in the form of an update for the DAO toolset. The gist of it is that they're not going to make a seperate toolset for the sequel.

It's a demo of the warrior class, wouldn't you expect it to be hack and slash? Looks like how it has been described. The combat is faster and when you select the skills they happen pretty much right away. They had grayed out the option in the video to select the mage class.

That's the console version. PC version will still have the tactical overhead view and pausing the give orders.

Mmmm looks very God of War-rish. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing. The combat was always a bit clunky on the consoles. Even on PC which I played DA:O on I found the combat a bit slowpaced. Like when I ordered my character to use Crushing Blow, it'd take a second for my char to swing the sword. I have faith that Bioware won't turn it into Heavenly Sword, the game is still 5 months away, so lets see.

Not to dismiss the comments, of course-- which are a nice mix of noth negative and positive, even if the negative people are much louder (and occasionally insistent that only their opinion matters)-- but the leaked video is a short part of the demo's opening. You don't get to see Cassandra's reaction, and the transition to the "normal" gameplay... which is part of the point, really.

Eh, only sorta. The controls are very different between PC and console, so the experience of playing it is different, but from a "how does it play" standpoint, not from a "how does it look" standpoint. To translate that fight into PC controls you would right click on foes to attack. Press number keys or click on the icons on your quickbar to fire off your moves/spells, and so on.

(Protip: exactly like Origins except faster, more responsive and generally a lot more fun to watch.)

And finally, GAHHHH!! LADY HAWKE!!! She looks so much better here than the earlier released screenshot that showed her face from a weird angle that gave her a peculiar oversized jaw.
