has anyone seen the new hairspray movie? it's based on the broadway musical and also the original 80's version of the movie that starred Ricki Lake. I thought the music was great, the acting, everything was awesome. I did get a little tearyeyed with the protest. But it's one of those movies that makes you feel good. After I heard the music I wanted to get the soundtrack.

I saw Hairspray this week with my big sister and her friend. It was cool and I like the original version better of the movie though.

the old version was good too. i still think it was wierd that they got john travolta to play the mom. i can't remember if the original mom was a woman or a man. i remember the name though, divine. i will have to look that up. i was also lucky to see hairspray went it came to my university, it was awesome.

I'm not big into movies but I really want to see this one. I'm just so intrigued. XD

you could also try and find the original version with ricky lake, it's a bit old but still really good.
