With this, I don't think we will be having Achiga s2 anime, rather a more reasonable speculation would be a monthly release of OVA or webcast by which anime will be only one chapter behind the manga in terms of pacing. How does that sound? |

I think what many of us would want most would be a two-season Achiga that takes its sweet time with the setup phase - training, Bansei, etc. Why this was not meant to be I do not know. Then again, I won't be complaining if we get more of Saki in any form.

I'm cool with a Saki Achiga-hen sequel, as long as...
1) We eventually get a sequel to the original Saki anime (i.e. a Saki anime focusing on Team Kiyosumi and seen primarily from their perspective). 2) The Finals of the Nationals are featured in that sequel to the original Saki anime. Under these circumstances, a Saki Achigan-hen sequel would simply mean more Saki "universe" content, and that's a big positive, imo. It would probably be worth the cost of having to wait longer for the long-awaited Saki vs. Teru match. But I won't lie - I'm really starting to wonder if we might be seeing a permanent "main protagonist cast" switch. If that's the case, I won't be very happy about that. At this point, I do like the Achiga-hen girls, and I'm emotionally invested in them, but my favorites are still Team Kiyosumi.

How can they make an Achiga-hen sequel if the main Saki manga didn't even get to the semifinal yet? It would be weird to have the spin-off manga show the final match of the Nationals before the main manga.
Why is Ritz so slow? I think the side story will stop at the end of the Block A semifinal and then merge with the main manga. But it's not impossible that the two authors want to show the final match from different perspectives (assuming that Achiga qualifies for the final, that is). As for the anime, I have no idea about what they intend to do. Since the Achiga-hen manga is still stuck in the first round of the semifinal, they either go with an anime-original ending or they just leave the match unfinished (which would majorly suck ).

'cause seriously. The Finals cannot be shown until Kiyosumi is brought through the B-side.

Soon. There will be Saki Sunday.
In the meantime, here's one of those... pillows... Spoiler for VERY NSFW:
And this may partially explain Ako's current Internet reputation...
