The Other Worldly Dining Hall (Isekai Shokudo)

By Inuzuka Junpei
Illustrated byEnami Katsumi

Since nobody made a thread for this yet, I guess I'll be the first.

To be honest, this WN doesn't have an amazing story, nor fleshed out characters, or anything that is commonly valued in the world of WNs and LNs, but it does have one thing that seriously makes it a good read.
Spoiler:

I won't bother writing a synopsis since you can probably glean it from the name.

I think the characters are pretty fleshed out despite only really getting one chapter each and brief cameos in other characters' chapters.

They are pretty fleshed out for the amount of time they're mentioned, but I just meant that it may not seem so in comparison to the character in more mainstream WNs

The characters aren't fleshed out? I think the characters are amazing! Though, I have only read 4 chapters.

2 volumes published. Enough chapters for 4-5 total. Too bad the author's on hiatus though.

well, author might be on a food trip looking for more food to add in chapters...

besides the hobbits (husband n wife), no other characters tried out changing their food

wonder if there would be an Orc ....

we already have elves, hobbits, pixies (100 of them for one pancake...they're that small), lizardman, dwarves, dragon lady . . .

In pound cake, Celestine shared the cake with three other priestesses (1+3=4), so why is there 5 people in the picture?

also, who/why care about the number of pips in the picture . . . it's the Devil's Poundcake . . . it knows no allies nor enemies . .

also, in that chapter I think the new Pope just killed one of their long standing traditions . . .

Yeah, it's a small matter but it just bothers me as I have absolutely no idea who that last person is. Especially when you consider that only the four of them know about the door and the previous director had already left.

No she didn't. A weakness or two is acceptable. Even one of the 4 heroes from 50~ years ago loved smoking his pipe.

Edit: Speaking of which, shouldn't this be in the LN section since the TL is using the LN version?

…Afterward, the holy woman who rose up and became the pope even with the body of a woman, Celestine Fregran. With a mighty magical aptitude and a wide heart filled with compassion, she was a follower of the god of light. She had a vice that she could not stop loving called the ‘cake of the devil.’ One day, a devil passed this phantom cake to her and her three disciples that she was fond of.

It was a very sweet cake that was filled with alcohol, had a savory smell, a bitter taste, and never mind the disciples, even that Celestine was overcome by the temptation of its deliciousness, and it is said to be the cause of the temple of light becoming well-versed in making sweets and changing it into a place of fervent worship for pastry chefs.

With the disciples’ cooperation, when she could finally eat it, Pope Celestine was said to always have a smile on her face. Now that she had become the pope, the fact that she couldn’t sever herself away from it was embarrassing for her… but even still, she smiled broadly at its devilish tasty flavor.
that's the part the image you have been concerned about is for.

so it's natural you won't know anyone but her.
