Now this is how episode 12 should have been handled plot-wise.

As people that have read the manga (or have seen the first series) can tell you, Yue definitely has feelings for Negi. However, she also cares so much about Nodoka-chan and hence doesn't want to admit these feeling due to their friendship.

If there's one thing that could have made this episode better, it's that I was really looking forward to some Pactio action, whether it invovled Nodoka's Cosplay form being activated in order for her to find out about Yue's feelings for Negi a la chapter 128 of the manga or Yue's contract being invoked in order for her to save Nodoka (after all, we have yet to see Yue in REAL Pactio action).

BTW, anyone else have PPD vibes when Evangeline is wearing the cat outfit at the end of the episode.

Aww crap i thought i was first post. Well there is one fault about this anime. THEIR PERSONALITYS DONT MATCH WITH MANGA!!! Chiu is not Chiu, Haruna is not Haruna ASUNA IS NOT ASUNA (I think) and more suprisngly EVA IS NOT EVA-CHAN !!! NOOOOOOOO

I LAUGHED MY ASS OF WHEN MAKIE ATE TAKMICHI RAMEN AND SENT TO THE ER ROOM LOL. RIP froggy xD And at the end where Chachamaru got the ramen it has takamichi logo. You know whtat that means lol. Hope eva finds an Emergency room in that island lol

So we see more of the real manga Yue, shocking seeing its at such a late stage - though with this, we can see where we're headed with the ending. Very much loved the scene between Nekane & Yue - its good to see something so powerful that didn't appear in the original source material.

& yes, Becky's PJ's all over for Eva'. :3

Seriously, Motsu is one hell of a genius creation. I know he appeared in PPD for a second or something, but seeing it here is wonderful. I'd rewatch this series so much just for Motsu, in a good way.

But they didn't do it the way the manga does it. Nodaka doesn't know that Yue likes negi. Yue plans to keep it a secret so she wouldn't hurt her friend I am pretty sure thats not how the manga goes.

They're just keeping a lil' part of the manga that should have been used back in episode 12, but instead used what happened in episode 12, and built up what we're getting now. Good thinking, shame we can't get anything else like this in the series.

I don't know about you, but i don't want a straight from manga story happening here near the end of the series. Its Shinbo so its wacky, thats what i wanna see right until the end.

Actually I've been rewatching PPD lately (as releases come out from ADV) because my son has decided he likes the series, and I've noticed Motsu in lots of scenes. He's never really important in them, but in one scene he's floating down a river, in another he's in the background.

It's interesting to watch Moon Phase -> PPD -> Negima!? to see the evolution of some of these jokes (like the pan that falls out of the sky).

yue yue! she is torn between her feelings ~ i admire nekane for helping yue express her feelings...may i wish i had a big sis like her >.<

the comedy was gold! haha the many voices of Motsu XD but how he teased yue was kinda cruel >.<
