I laughed so hard when Hibiki fused everyone's power (BRS) into golden armor (Saint Seiya) into ORA ORA ORA.
Shirabe was adorable How do you even get that creative with dishes?! Goddamn tomatoes Also the epilogue all but confirms the return of best gear in season 6. That's all I needed to be hype for it. |

Well she wasn't completely irrelevant this season. Without her help Hibiki would still be going all Godzilla on Japan . Since I doubt a nuke would have stopped her.
But yeah, she's definitely looking to be much more key next season. Either as a target or as a key to saving the day. Somehow I don't think Elfnein would have dropped the lines she did without it leaning in that direction. Could have left it that Hibiki being purified allowed her to wield divine power. But she also tossed in that explanation of how she was able to so easily go from a relic fusion to an attuned that could instantly take Gungnir from Maria and use it. Fingers crossed they'll do good work with her .

That suggests to me a possibility that the original sin, the curse of Balal, apparently, is also what interferes with people attempting to synchronize with relics. It leads me to wonder things about the nature of the curse. Given that the Frontier, a piece of technology belonging to the Custodians, could be interfaced with via phonic gain in exactly the same manner as other relics, it makes me wonder if perhaps the curse was designed simply to cut off Humanity's access to the Custodian's technology. What if the confusion of mankind's languages, and the associated conflicts that apparently arose because of Humanity's inability to properly communicate, were simply side-effects of the curse rather than its true purpose?

In the end I do find it interesting to see how this season turned out. I think a unifying point was on various characters facing tough choices. I'm not sure if that sort of thing relates directly to the title, though certainly choosing a painful option can lead to tears. Characters like Chris made tough choices, but came through it alright. Some rough patches, but she could certainly live with her decision in seeing Stefan alive and continuing to struggle. Even Hibiki has to struggle by the end with firmly gripping her own sense of justice. She tried to to the right thing and the day was saved....but there are still losses.
Saint Germain changed her mindset in some ways, but she still stuck to the idea of making small sacrifices for the greater good. She just finally gave up on sacrificing others. Trusting people to make the world better instead of feeling she had to keep trying to free them with her own hands. Adam only ever made sacrifices of others. Characters like Hibiki, Chris, Saint Germain, even Professor Nastassja made personal if not emotional sacrifices for what they saw as a greater good. Adam was fine sacrificing the lives of others because he saw all of them as beneath him. He wouldn't sacrifice his life for his goals since they involved him ruling and he certainly wouldn't make sacrifices on his goals. He could have won this whole thing if he was willing to go with what Saint Germain wanted. It was possible to gain the power to fight the Custodians, prove his ability, and not betray his allies. But good thing he had such strong flaws since that would have made things rather tough for the good guys . Fairly obvious stuff I know, but just felt like pondering on this season a bit. Quote:
Although if the effect of the curse messes with humanities ability to cooperate may have also been a focal point. The Custodians did all this and then buggered off. Maybe they also hoped that humanity would self-destruct on its own before they came back. Not a far fetched hope all things considered...Carol almost destroyed the entire planet last season. No doubt then that the existence of Hibiki and Miku would trigger a response by the Custodians. Even just a few humans breaking that curse and gaining access to greater power may scare the heck out of them.

Don't quote me on this, the last keywords haven't been translated yet and I'm going by Google Translate, but it's likely gone for good: this keyword on the site describes the Rebuild process they did with the Last Ignition, and GT gives me, as a translation for the last line "決戦機能のひとつである「イグナイトモジュール」の喪失を意味している", "It means the loss of "Ignite module" which is one of the decisive battle functions". So, yeah, that emergency rebuild ended up breaking the Ignite Module: which means, oddly enough, that the last Ignited Arrangement of the show were those 20 seconds of Senritsu Sorority back in episode 4...

I know what you mean. IIRC, weren't they about basically tapping into their inner darkness? Basically taming each of their own berserker states like we saw Hibiki become before?
If so, it reminds me of other similar things, like Digimon Savers with ShineGreymon, where it ShineGreymon initially tapped into its Ruin Mode that, while powerful, wasn't completely controllable, until they are able to reach its true full power with ShineGreymon Burst Mode. Or Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXal and Yuma Tsukumo partially tapping into the power of the Barians and using Rank-Up Magic - Limited Barian's Force to turn No. 39, King of Wishes, Hope into CNo. 39, King of Wishes, Hope Ray V up until Yuma is able to awaken Zexal Mode and get Hope's true stronger form in CNo. 39, King of Wishes, Hope Ray Victory. So if it follows that sort of pattern, then we can expect them to awaken something not only more powerful than the Ignite Module in general, but also things that can be unique to each of the girls' virtues themselves or something rather than matching outfits and simply being stronger in general.

The full song(2 parts, 1st part zesshou & 2nd part real song) of "Axia no Kaze" might be one of the best in all 4 seasons. The lyrics of second part, very similar to each of their own character song & title:
(start at 2:20) 激唱 旋律 歌になれ! ---> this lyrics here came from the 2 trio team's song title "激唱 インフィニティ" & "旋律 ソロリティ" 負けない愛が拳にある(花咲く) --->literally from Hibiki's song title "負けない愛が拳にある" + 2nd song title " 花咲く 勇気" 美しき刃で月下に翼舞う ---> short form and you get Tsubasa's song title "月下 美刃" GUN BULLET XXX 力に変わる(容赦しねぇ) ---> Chris's song title "GUN BULLET XXX" + a part from her song. Stand up ready 示せ 天へと向かい ---> Maria's song title "Stand up! Ready!!" + a part from her song. メロディアスに繋ぐんだ ---> this lyric is not from Shirabe's song or title, but a condense meaning of her song. So need to understand her whole song. サンシャインとなり絆束ね ---> same as the top, you need to understand Kirika's whole song and what her song trying to convey. *Not full song.

Will kind of miss the Ignite Modules, but probably for the best. Trying to actively use and control the berserk modes would likely backfire at some point. Though now they'll need to find something to replace it. Somehow I can't imagine the crazy Kazanari and the Custodians will pose a far lesser threat than the alchemists have the past couple seasons. Just unison singing and regular gears isn't likely to be enough.
Well hopefully Elfnein has some time to figure out a solution. Unlike this time when she didn't even have enough time to figure out the Linker problem before a new threat appeared.

Watched the final episode:
Enjoyed it. Oh my... Adam true form is a monstrous demon... Somehow Hibiki and the others defeat him in a badass way, just like how they defeat the other bosses that came before him. Well, seriously now.. I like how they give releveance to past events. Like the flashback on Miku's gear having a very important effect on the outcome of things here. Now they really have to thank Dr.Ver... from what I remember it's him that made Miku put on that gear. About the issue on ignite... did everyone lose the ignite ability or just Hibiki? Waiting for season 5!! come on make it happen. >__<
