No she is actually an important character in the comics. She becomes Rick's enforcer(Darrel doesn't exist in the comics). I do agree that the samurai thing is overdone in zombie stuff. Like I mentioned earlier, the strength required to make a clean cut in high, more likely you would get it stuck in the neck and overtaken. Plus, keeping that thing sharpened would be a pain.

I'll stick to a spear or pike without barbs.

Awesome episode. Just kinda sad that the finale was the most interesting episode of the season. It's like they were holding up until now!

It's neat how they showed how "hordes" happen. No need for explanations, just watch and understand.

Lori is still as insufferable as ever.

Ah yes, Lori. What she did was definitely the last straw for Rick. First, she goads him into confronting Shane, and when he does something to permanently solve the problem, she turns her back on him after he confesses (probably hoping for some support). Wtf?

In the previous episode Shane leads Rick, we presume, pretty far away from the homestead. In fact, I seem to remember a comment or two during the verbal exchange about "...all the way out here."

However, in this episode when Carl and Rick start walking away from Shane's body, There's the house in the near distance.

As usual , i can't stand Carl , Lori & Carol.
Glenn x the girl is boring to watch.

I don't know him but yes pls , it's better than nothing :d

I hope Daryl will play another role than the confidence man who is super useful & do the dirty work. He's a tool.

Andrea was very strong to keep running away & killing zombies all the night.Could'nt stop thinking about Jedi when i saw "Michonne".

So , with this last episode , comics readers was amazed to see Michonne & the prison. Sounds like it's really something etc.... Let's see how they will handle the Season 3.

Yes, but do you know hard bone is and how it would dull blades? If you were surrounded by infected, how would you sharpen in mid combat? I still a say a simple sharp point/pike is more effective for zombies. Pierce one point, remove, pierce, remove, etc.

I dunno if zombies bones are really that hard, considering how Andrea can perforate a zombie´s skull through his nostril with a switchblade.

And I´d dare venture that even their soft tissues are softer than a regular living person.

Anyway, the whole zombie hunter chick at the end just threw me off. I mean what are the odds of finding someone who can use a weapon like that with such proficiency in America?

God next season can't come soon enough this is going to be a difficult year

We haven´t seen enough of her to know how proficient she is with it.
It may very well be that she´s no Samurai Jack, just a girl who found it and used it enough times to get the hang of it.
But:

a) It´s America.
The whole melting pot thing?
You can find people proficient at anything in America:
Russian guy talented at vietnamese cuisine? Check.
Moroccon housewife proficient at dehumidifier repairs? Check.
Nepalese guy gifted at figure ice skating? Check.
Black girl who knows what a katana is? Check.

b) Simple math. if you´re any good with it, chances are you´d be more likely to survive in a zombie apocalypse than the other 100,000 people who aren´t.

c) It´s a sword.
You use it to slice things. Rinse and repeat it 20-30 times and you´ll have gotten the gyst of it.
Also, katanas are not a bad choice in this scenario:
1. they´re silent
2. they don´t run out of ammo.

I just wish I had read this month´s Playboy issue where they published Michonne´s Story.
I´m sure many questions would have been answered.
