New Assassin's Creed Project Teased :

"The Assassin's Creed series could be shifting to ancient Egypt.

The website for UbiWorkshop posted an image of what appears to be a new Assassin's Creed project, which was drawn by polish artist Grzegorz Domaradzki. It's unclear if this is for a new game or an upcoming comic book, however.

"Oh, and before you ask, this has nothing to do with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood," UbiWorkshop said on its twitter account.

UbiWorkshop also teased an additional project by comic artists Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl. Stewart noted on his blog that he and Kerschl are working on a new comic series "based on an immensely popular property." The new comic is said to debut at this year's San Diego Comic Con. "

I wouldn't mind if it were in Egypt imo . (A Prince of Persia-like )

If it's gonna be set in ancient Egypt, the story will probably be set at a time long before the original Assassin's Creed, and it would make sense if the assassins moved over to the promised land in later years.

Hell Yeah A trailer for Brotherhood :

So amazing that i have shed some tears

First as usual awesome movie trailer . Rome as the city , beautiful .
They introduced the Coop/Multiplayer . Wait Gameplay now to see how they'll do .

Arg , well "1503" , Rodrigo Borgia will die so we can say that Ezio and cie killed them at the end .

Also Bowman ? no Rifleman on the roof

Edit : Didn't seen that there is one assassin with a bow ^^

More Info There with an interview with some multi gameplay .
In Ubi's conf they show us the single player . Awesome stuffs , specially the canon and the new attack = Throw an axe on Guard

"As you've probably already heard by now, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed II. You're still Ezio (when playing by yourself, not in multiplayer), but you're now 40 years old. You're still leaping and bounding your way through Italy, but this time you'll be contained to the hallowed city of Rome. In other words, the single-player in this installation will likely feel very similar to what was already seen in part two. "

"40 years old" , ohoh ^^ No children yet , maybe yes cuz at the beginning they show us Ezio with a woman in the bed

Anyway , the multi seems ok .

"See, Brotherhood's multiplayer is based on the idea of being an assassin. I mean being a real assassin, not just running around killing people. In the world of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, that means blending into crowds and behaving like a commoner, only to pop out and plunge your hidden blade into the side of one of your targets or a rival assassin, then stealthily blend back into the legion of pedestrians. "

So we have to be careful ^^

"The number of abilities available to you is determined by your level, which is built up by earning experience points and will cap out once you reach level 50. Everything from modes, new character models and maps will be unlocked through the use of XP"

Level 50 huh . Fast XP ?

Anyway , good article , the multi is interesting . Can't wait for November 16th .

Edit : Gameplay Video (+ trailer)

So now that Rodrigo is dead , the new bad guy is Cesar Borgia , his son .

Edit 2 : Multi :

PS3 users will get bonus missions + the beta (only on PS3)

What happen to the "assassin" part of assassins creed?

I mean as the games been evolving, its been losing that oh so important stealth element and just gives you the option to kill people head on, in the

AC1:you were always on the hide blending in with crowds avoiding the eyes of guards.. Just walking to fast could get you into trouble. You had to think of the right way to kill someone without being caught or you would just fail the mission.

AC2: you could literally walk to a guards face in a ground of people kill him, walk away and no one really cared. You eventually get a loud *** wrist gun which has 0 stealth too it since shooting it alerts everyone in a 5 mile radius. Even if you do not assassinate them properly you can just stab them. Every now and then you did a lame easy chase or grabbed someone off a building or boat.

AC Brotherhood: This guy literary just kills a guard off his horse in the middle of a town, rides by another guard kills him, then kills a group of people and simply goes on his way. I mean yeah in the game the guards are more tyrantish and oppressing the city. Not to mention the whole, assassin minion thing where you call them to do your work or send them on missions to get Exp and level up like some cheap RPG.

tl;dr the games losing with made it so fun. For sake of cheap action and simpler gameplay

Besides the horrible M. night shyamalan type endings, its turned into a fast pace sword game.. Just had to get this off my chest

Yeah I noticed those things myself. Don't forget the invisible walls that prevent you from leaving an area because the mission demands you don't or you siting on a bench and the guards don't recognize you anymore.

But hey, there is always Metal Gear or Tenchu Stelth Assassins.

If you kill a guard in the middle of the street, it'll alert every other guard around him. It's quite rare for a guard to be walking alone. Those that do tend to be up on rooftops so nobody caring if you kill them makes sense considering there's no one around. The only other times they're alone is if you're doing one of De Medici's assassination contracts and you're having to kill off a guard that you're targeting and he's in the middle of the street. Speaking of assassin contracts, there are quite a few missions where you have to kill your target without being seen. If you're spotted, you have to start over from the beginning. So stealth is quite important in those missions. Also, if you kill a guard out in the open street, all the civilians will start running away from you. So contrary to what you said, you can't just kill a guard in the middle of the street, and people would care if you did. Don't forget the notoriety system in AC2. If your notoriety reaches its max, guards will immediately get suspicious of you the moment they see you, even if you don't do anything. So it's important to stay out of sight until you can tear down posters, bribe the heralds or kill the snitches.

As for the gun, I agree. It is loud as hell and not very stealthy, but you also have to consider that we're in the 15th century here. Guns hardly even existed in those days in the first place as they were rare and extremely hard to come by, and silenced pistols came much later than that even. But, that said, I also agree that it doesn't make sense that Ezio could carry one around affixed to his gauntlet. Nevermind stealth, it's amazing how he can climb so fast with all that equipment on his arm.

I guess this is partly true. There is still an element of stealth but it's not as strong as it was in the first game as well as other games. Which is why I still believe that the best stealth game out there, or at least among the best ones, are the Metal Gear Solid games. Stealth defines those games and it's a lot more accurate to boot in terms of combat and movement.

Frankly, I always found the stealth element in the first game to be vastly overrated as well. Running too fast gets the guard on your tail? wait what? Why would guard care about someone running? People run all the time. Yes, you can make the argument that guards would get jumpy if they see an assassin running, but then guards should get jumpy if they see an assassin to begin with.

I never really bought the whole hiding in plain sight shtick. Not when you're dressed like an assassin wearing the entire symbol of your known assassin order in bright colors. Even the Tenchu series did it better than that: You were dressed like a ninja, so the moment you were spotted people attacked you for being dressed like a ninja.

I'd personally go for Tenchu as the best stealth game, since in Metal Gear (particularly the later ones) you can just kick the door and rain down bullets and grenades while chomping on that ration.
Still, YkT has pointed out pretty much all the importance of stealth in AC.

Shifting it into Israel is a bad idea though...it would give Fox News something to talk about.

Altair's story is set in the Holy Land after all, moving between places like Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus. Moving there from Egypt makes sense, what with everything that happened with Moses and the slaves moving to the Holy Land.

This isn't japan tho and in Tenchu you don't fuckin try to stealth in pure daylight in cities. if I saw someone running while everyone else was walking normaly. I'd assume he's either running from trouble or he is the trouble. I would most definaly take a closer look.

I played Tenchu and imo, their stealth system is easy, Can people in japan look up?

I've said it many times.

Thief is the only series that has done stealth right.

Not to mention being awesome games in their own right, stealth notwithstanding.
