Not exactly the same age but looking a little older than the high school age she's in now, or maybe that's just the voice, but yeah, not aging is the more likely scenario here.

It's just the voice, she sounded happy instead of completely deadpan. Takuya himself said she looked the same.

We got Kanna's backstory. Her mother came from the same world as Takuya's mother. They don't age but seem not to have infinite lifespans since her mother eventually died. Takuya's mother is apparently still alive and just went home, with his father eventually following her. Now Takuya is about to visit that other world. I guess Elf girl will finally make her return after 17 episodes.

So...Kanna is basically Takuya's adopted sister? You'd think he'd have remembered her more readily with that in mind, but maybe she wasn't with them long (or something's messed with his memories). I guess it explains why he acts way less perverted around her .

Man, what a rough life Kanna's lived. She lost her mother and then had to live the life of someone who basically never ages and had no one to turn to, so she sold her own body for sex to live and to find some kind of companionship and affection. That sex scene was tough to watch .

And you can see that in how she interacts with Takuya in her room. The only way she thinks she can feel care and love is through physical means, not emotional, so she asks Takuya to have sex with her (and maybe he does in the game?). Takuya, Mio, and Yuki have probably been the first people she's been able to interact with in a truly meaningful way .

Mio pushing Takuya to go after Kanna was a good scene on her part, especially since she's working under the impression Kanna is her love rival. She even laid out her own feelings by saying how girls are sometimes cold to the guys they like. Here's Rie Kugimiya, the queen of tsundere's, explaining tsundere's .

Hojo is kind of the victim here, at least as far as the Niarb pushing him, but it's still hard to feel bad for him when Eriko is stomping his face in with her heel .

Well, we finally get more exposition as to what's been going on this whole time. We learn what the other dimension is called, and that Takuya's parents went there, and now he has to go there to save Kanna. I did find it curious that his mom said she had to go back to be prepared for the "new me." Is the elf girl his mother's reincarnation ?

What's the name of the king? Arima ?

I guess it's more that he knows he can/they won't leave him whatever happens with the others so he is unconcerned and can joke with them no matter what. With Kana, for one she is the only one he doesn't have history with, he doesn't have the safety net as with others, and for the first time he REALLY wants this woman to like him. Hence the perversion is on the down. Also it woudlnt'work on Kanna. I don't think he can imagine an act that would get her riled up.

The events of the game are actually on rails most of the time, and only occasionally is there a timeline branch. The game version of the reflector device even blinks ahead of time when a branch is imminent. When the device is not blinking it is impossible to change the course of events; you can make a save, but it will not be very useful (other than returning to pick up an item). Takuya even loses his memories between each jump and will react and behave exactly the same as before. The fight with Houjou is one such branchless sequence that will play out exactly the same no matter what you do: he is defeated but Kanna's psychite is gone.

So yeah, in game there was a physical reason why he coudln't save whenever, the anime just decided to ignore that little fact, thus making him idiotic.

You can always play the remake. There are no H-scenes though, since it is a more family-friendly remake.

It's interesting to note Takuya still has sex with all the girls in the remake, the sex scenes are just not explicit. I guess the reason they removed the sex scenes in the anime has to do with what 4th Dimension posted, him keeping his memories of every route (besides Eriko's) as opposed to losing them like in the game.

Yeah. It aired as 17.5 episode and I don't think ANYONE subbed it. But I skimmed the RAW and there is like 5 minutes of the MC in the new world.
