They should have been their shadow forms instead, where applicable.

You have to realize that alternate costumes in a 2d fighting game is only really alternate colors. If you gave character A a cape and a helmet you would have to reanimate so much shit it's not funny. It's why 3D fighters have always had completely different costumes whereas 2d is palette swaps, sometimes it takes upto months just to animate 1 character like for KOFXIII which has much better animation than an ASW game.
The way Skullgirls is doing things is pretty innovative though. |

Oh i know why there are alternate colours in 2D fighting games instead of costumes, i'm just not fond of changing to a different colour when i play, that's all.
Though with that said, i didn't mind some of the different alternate colours for Guilty Gear X2 Reload.

Second PV.
Nothing really new, though it's a nice watch. Features some gameplay, an introduction to the five character we've seen in action, and a nice little Persona 3 mention. Still only just Aegis shown.

As expected, the game handles just like BlazBlue, but sticking closely to the Persona 4 move list from the original game. I can see that awakening mode being pretty annoying when it comes to online matches.

Yousuke = Captain Ressentiment
Ressentiment is a word that shows up during the original game. It means hatred and jealousy. It maybe a parody on how Yousuke always falls behind the protagonist is and is comfortable with it. Maybe.. The announcer is obviously trying to be mean to everyone. Chie = The meat eater who threw away her femininity Protagonist = The classroom thug in chief with a sister complex

... Heu... It's exactly the same than this previous one...
Ressentiment is a french word about jealousy and envious, but i don't think hate is in... Yousuke said it in his route in P4. All those 3 nicknames correspond pretty well with their owners... |

Combo movie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSktJ7f-3x0 Game looks pretty raw so far, and did you guys notice there is not 623/Dragon Punch commands? This game seems to have beginners or non-fighting game players in mind.

This is the movelist:
http://p-atlus.jp/kouhou/TGS_p4u_2.jpg Here's 1 hour worth of footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwNkns9FQqU The shortage of moves is more than compensated by the extensive game systems. As one would expect from a combo/asw game there is: -One more cancel Just like to BB/GG rapid/roman cancels. -R Action A move with invicible propeties, similar to Dead Angle/Counter Assault I believe. Costs HP "blue HP" which can be recovered by not getting hit, like Focus Absorb from SF4 -Burst Comes in three shapes, Max, Reversal, One more. Max fills all your SP, can be done by hitting in neutral (not blocking, not attacking) Reversal is your typical Burst, saves you while defending or being hit. Sends your opponent away. One more extends your combos. Execute while combo'ing your opponent. -Beat Down Rush followup Works like Guilty Gear dust attacks. Auto-combos and allows 2 finishes: Launches the opponent or knocks them away. -Awakening A comeback mechanic. When low on health, you'll get a defense bonus(less damage taken), allows Awakening Super(The ultimate move), +50SP Gain and doubles your SP gauge(becomes red).

The 'R Action' appears to be a character dependent reversal of some sort. Yu's is the shoryuken type move he has, and I believe Yukiko does an Anji-esque fan move with guard points/super armour all over it.
Apart from the weird movelist (nothing but quarter circles? really?), I like what I see so far. Especially the Guilty Gear style bursts. Also, it appears that ground teching is done SF4 style, only quick or delayed wakeups, no side rolling.

Narukami's attacks are kinda similar to Ky from GG lol.
and why is Kanji's weapon still a chair, shouldn't it already be a shield? Like Narukami now having a sword instead of a golf club and Yosuke having Wrenches oh well and why the hell are they not wearing their glasses Spoiler for P4 spoilers:

Atlus just concretely confirmed Teddie and Naoto's playability in the game with a bunch of new screenshots.~
Teddie is described as a "tricky" character: Spoiler for Teddie screens:
And since Naoto uses a gun, a lot of her attacks have range: Spoiler for Naoto screens:
