still a bit small, will try to find some more info.
Also guys a small "trivia" on the light novels. Fun facts: - Vol. 14 took place over less than 1 minute. - 12 days have passed since Haru entered the palace in vol 6 (published in 2010). - 2 and a half months have passed since Crow first met Raker in vol 3 (2009). - About 5 months have passed in the real world since the beginning. It's been over 4 years. |

I believe it meant 4 years in accel world time and only 5 months in real world time not 5 months progression in 4 years. (I'm not sure) because the series were first released in 2008 I believe so that would be 6 years and not 4. |

Or maybe Brain Burst would give the Burst Linker something similar to Argon Array's unique ability...but we should consider the Blind Person's life trauma.

Actually Fuuko wanted to go to space not to fly, she forgot her desire by the time Brain Burst was installed to her Neuro Linker but Brain Burst read her desire to go to space so she got Sky Raker.

About Fuuko... She did mention that she had to be fitted with prosthetic legs since young. Prosthetic limbs are *expensive*, and throughout the series and especially in Volume 6, it's hinted that Fuuko's family is rich. Very rich, probably enough to pay for those legs her whole life.
Her inability to participate in PE classes, combined with discrimination from her classmates and her own feelings (or should I say, inferiority complex) about her legs, is probably the main factors that pushed her wish beyond simply escaping from others, which would manifest in aviation as per Haruyuki's case. Fuuko wanted to leave everyone entirely at some point in time, and the logical extension is to go to space. Being cultured in a rich family is probably why she has never been able to put her wish into words until the Hermes Cord race, where she made the connection between her Gale Thruster and 'leaving the earth to go to space,' or in otherwords, Overwatcher. To look from high above the clouds down on everyone else where they cannot touch her. Hence, it results in a light blue colour, lending itself to her personal strength (to walk on her own feet, whatever it may be) and yet, running away / looking down on others, which is not entirely a trait of Blue avatars. The use of 'sky' is probably to tie her closer with the concept of being 'above others.' As for 'raker,' I haven't really thought about it. |

From Merriam-Webster, rake as a verb: 3. a : to touch in passing over lightly b : scratch, scrape Used in the phrase "sky raker" it pretty handily calls to mind someone brushing up against/scraping against the sky. |

Yeah, I think the second is definitely better. What meant the avatar that can see an avatar's real "light", I mean an ability one true emotions or personalities. It would be interest if the blind person's original dream was to be an astronomer and was devastated when losing the ability to see in some accident. Maybe this person would be the person that tested the prototype Brain Burst program. Though I don't know what the avatar name would be. The avatar would have a big visor over its face.
