I'd say I prefer chuu2 Engrish to be said in small 2-3 syllables rather than a full whole sentence. It sounds less cringy that way.

As many other posters I found the episode rushed but still high enjoyable. Just one bad note for me since I don't like much armours, I had preferred some different kind of improvement for the hero. Also I found more interesting the fights before the contract, after it it was a given that he would have won so it lost any tension that was there before. But well, there are many aspects in the plot that are interesting, starting with Ouka's payback for using the relic not having a contract, her own blood. And her past that looked like she was subjugated to kill her family.
The general dark tones of the show also are welcome since they give some sense of actual risk, that usually instead is just not there.
On a last note, despite me liking what was said, I found the final talk a bit too intimate from our hero's part, since their relationship didn't seem to have gone that far yet, but it's probably due the rushed execution.
So, well, I will get past the armour thing eventually

One question, the sub calls it a "Hallmark" magic but essentially is it like a signature move of whatever the Relic's namesake is?

Yeah...I'm not sure how they came up with "Hallmark" but Krytyk translates it as "Intrinsic" - that means yeah it is a signature move but every relic eater has its own appearance and fighting style; its intrinsic magic is basically just its strongest one ;-)

Wow that armor looked really tacky. Reminded me of Akame ga Kill for some reason. But anyway is this anime seriously going for 9 volumes in 1 cour? It's been decent albeit pretty rushed so far, but seriously 9 volumes in 1 cour? Tokyo Ravens did a pretty good job with it but with 2 cours so how the hell are they going to pull this off?

Though to AntiMagic's credit, I haven't dropped it yet like Mahou Sensou so it must be doing something right...

I doubt that as adapting too much might make this adaptation worse! Let's hope that SILVER LINK won't go down the same path as Mahou Sensou.

Pretty good episode overall. I do like how these Relic weapons interact with their 'owners' makes for some interesting moments.

Of course still Ouka's genocidal rampage. Though I suppose it's hard to really dissuade her when the organization's head gives that kind of speech before the fight. Kind of no wonder that the magic users are going to extremes and that the other side hates them so much. Certainly her own past shows why she would only give a damn about killing. Though certainly ironic that the girl who was seemingly forced to start killing now can't stop. Calling her a Calamity is probably pretty accurate.

Good episode for the MC though and his answers worked nicely in terms of reflecting who he is. He'll deal with evil witches no question about it, but wasn't going to say a plain yes to the question of wiping them all out.

I like his armor, it reminds me of Guyver. Like the guns too, named Vlad, and has Tepes names attack.

Finally watched 2nd ep. Liked it quite a lot. I don't think I have ever seen guns used in spellcasting. I've seen magical guns, guns + spells combos, but not using guns in performing actual spell ritual. I would remember seeing something this badass.
I could do without the armor looking like a damn mech though. But other than that, fine ep. It seems to be going extremely fast plot-wise. Maybe too fast actually, but I don't mind since such crazy pacing is refreshing compared to how this type of stories usually go. Seeing show concentrating on getting shit done instead of mudane school life is nice change of pace.

Funny episode I guess but the ending implies something else dark about her. Not to mention, we know that she is a witch....

So after using magic, they're now enrolling witches. What kind of "anti-magic" academy is this? Well the principal is probably using her as bait since they were expecting Vallhala to attack while she was in Takeru's room. Speaking of Takeru's room, why was that guy standing there like an idiot? Couldn't he have left the room just as he saw a naked Mari standing there? She was even telling him to leave. He should have ran out just like the other harem protags do. But he just had to keep on staring at her to buy just enough time for Ohtori to run out of the bathroom naked and fall on him.

So we get another tsundere here. With so much oppai around, there had to be a flat chest and that's where Mari comes in. Ohtori and Mari don't like each other. The two are fighting for the position of the show's tsundere. Ohtori feels that she might be replaced since Mari popped in out of nowhere to take her position as the show's tsundere. It's oppai tsundere vs pettanko tsundere.

I really don't feel like going any further but I am a bit curious to see what happens with a witch being enrolled in the so-called "Anti-magic Academy". I'll decide on dropping it next week.

"who kill the cock robin
with my lance and sword
I killed the cock robin"

dam thats the most terrible cringing spell i heard, guess it part of nursery rhyme but by shortening it and out of context it cringy to the max. also what a juvenile chuuni armour design. should have make it looks more like F/Z's berserker, now he just looks like a power ranger or that grasshopper dude

That spell wasn't there in the original. In the original LN there was a Latin chant but for the anime they replaced it with that nursery rhyme.

It's not random. The nursey rhyme is a retelling of how the Baldor a god in Norse mytholigy was killed by the sword Mistilteinn which is Lapis' other identity.
