The cycle is broken, though. She was reborn specifically to fight Hades and Hades was defeated once and for all.

She just has no role. That's my point. Saori is the official damsel in distress. Aria was just helping them destroy the Cores to stop Earth from falling into chaos. And I find it even more likely that Aria is killed because she doesn't appear in official art or merchandise. The upcoming official 2013 calendar illustrated by Umakoshi himself specifically features: Kouga, Yuna, Souma, Ryuho, Haruto, Eden, Seiya and SAORI.

Well another source said only 6 illustrations are in the calendar. Saori is prob not one of them.

Toei Shop specifically says "featuring the new Bronze Saints and the now Gold Saint Seiya with Athena, Saori Kido". It has only 6 illustrations, but I'm sure they will just make Haruto and Ryuho share as usual; like this: Kouga, Yuna, Souma, Ryuho and Haruto, Eden, Saori and Seiya.

In the DVD box Saori and Seiya are on one picture. It's prob going to be a version of that.

Sanctuary Arc 2.0 Here we Go!

Just watched a subbed version of 21 and it was another good, intense episode. Even if it didn't last long, Hyoga's screentime was enough for his personality to show here. His harshness is a nice contrast with what we've seen of the other three legendary Bronze Saints before him. It always bothered me how Kurumada treated him and Shiryu after Poseidon, turning both into a background, almost generic duo.

...if there will be more Gold Saints than the three we know? Since i suppose the main characters should all get at least one proper fight against them.

Anyway, i hope the fights will be more like the original Sanctuary arc and not as short and linear as the recent battles against the Silver Saints were.

I’ll try not to get too hyped up for the Sanctuary Arc 2.0 coz I don’t wanna get disappointed later on. But damn, looking back seeing Koga x Eden fight is glorious (that’s the one by Umakoshi, right?). My only complain from that fight is there’s too much zooming to the characters’ bodies & faces, making it a bit difficult to grasp the direction.

I hope the fight in 12 temples will be like that too: direct to action, intense, emotional, with no “cloth-equipping scenes” (and no overkill zooming please ).
