Naruto Movie Timeline [Manga]

Judging from the preview of this movie at the end of episode 96, is there any way for it to logically fit into Naruto's timeline unless they significantly alter the plot for the anime? We see Naruto perform a Rasengan, so obviously it takes place after they come back to the village with Tsunade. If that's the case, how can they explain Sasuke's presence? He's in no shape to go on a mission after he wakes up(there's no way he would work together with Naruto), and he leaves Konoha the night after he wakes up if I'm not mistaken. Not only that, but Kakashi receives a separate mission before he's even fully recovered, and from what it says in the manga, the village isn't really doing Genin Team missions anymore.

Is there any feasible way that they can explain how Team 7 finds the time to take on another mission, or are they going to alter the plot to accomodate it? Or just leave it completely non-canon like the Jump Festa specials?

I would think they would just leave it non-canon. It's kinda like the DBZ Movies; they really don't fit, but they have some cool "what ifs" that don't fit in with the story line. I'm thinking it's just a little something extra for Naruto fanatics to enjoy.

Ok Ok, first this belongs in Naruto Q&A (c'mon man its a sticky)..... 2nd its just like the DBZ movies, they take place in some normal anime time period but dont affect the plot
