The 1st episode wasn't really that bad.
Had a lot of "The 6th Day" vibe to the story.

Reminds me of Pantheon and even some Blackjack. First ep was basically Plastic Memories.

Episode 1 was promising to me. If there are any anime fans working in the AI or pharma industry, this anime seems to have all those ethical dilemmas and heart strings at its disposal. What is right, what is wrong? How do we judge and apply rules and restrictions, and how do we circumvent them for personal gain?

Not sure about this one... feels kinda like Black Mirror but maybe not. I might give it another episode.

For someone trying to make moral arguments, it feels like a MC is a bit iffy on the subject of consent.

As for the backups... They're what Kaff Tagon in Schlock Mercenary called "a little immortality", which I'd think would be hard to outlaw, but maybe it's because they're only available to 10% of the population? And not the richest 10%.

I hate it.
Not intelligent enough to be a believable vision for transhumanism.
Not cool&creative enough to compete with cyberpunk.
What does this show have going for it? Well it's got AI in the title and that's all the rage these days, I guess...

Guess, Transgender people would find this series welcoming because of Kaoru.

I think it was more for the people who don't want to be either male or female, like doctor said, kaoru is chasing something more than that. I seriously don't understand that they don't want to be indentify as male or female but to each their own. There all kinds of people.

That non-binary character was interesting, not so much the track story though.

Episode 2 was a bit mind blowing for me. I thought Kaoru was just another humanoid girl, but turns out she was a he, so now she is a transgender humanoid.

The track story was alright. I don't think they resolved it in a great way, even if he qualified and won his race.

So MICHI is a copy of a younger Sudo? Creepy and fascinating at the same time.

Well, I'd like to say the anime did it better than anything Disney and co. have made, but Kaoru doesn't really have an identity problem as much as him wanting to go beyond human(oid) life.

That said, they had him care about boobs when he first appeared, so... I don't know. He doesn't care about gender but cares about boobs... or something

Well, since his body is a modded-body, i guess he wants to get all the specifications right, as he wants.

Kind of cool to see David and Teddy in the preview.

There's definitely some interesting concepts in this show but somehow it makes 20 minutes feel like 2 hours. For now I'll probably stick with it though... maybe.

I kinda liked the two stories this time, in the sense that it ends fairly vaguely.
I was worried the lady would go back to her sex toy boy, but at least for now, she's still on a healthier path

On another note, if AI ever got this complicated, ohh I just know that there will be people fighting for human rights of the AI. Well, I'll probably be dead by then so I'll let that Terminator mess happen in their lifespans
