Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e/Kimi o Aishita Hitori no Boku e

This is an interesting novelty at the very least. These are two films set in alternate universes, released simultaneously but by different studios. The original novels by Otono Yomiji were released on the same day in 2016, and could "be read in either order".

Notable to me is that "Kimi" is directed by Kasai Kenichi, one of the anime titans, who's been pretty much invisible for five years.

Was already interested in the novels even before the anime was announced. Maybe I'll read them before watching the anime
