Yep, it took a long time to get going but now there's no stopping it. I'd say there'll be two survivors at best, Hachirou and Hibiki.

I was actually expecting this sequel to be less harsh on the Kouga and Iga ninjas because they're so young, but it looks like we're headed for another "kill 'em all" ending.

Only one episode left and we still don't know where Hachirou and Hibiki came from. Going by the ending of the ep though, I wouldn't be surprised if it was some bullshit like them being Gennosuke and Oboro's children from a parallel world where they were able to survive. That's how weird this has gotten.

Everybody died except Hachirou and Hibiki. Then shit happened and they were thrown in a parallel world where the Joujinshu were destroying Edo and had never met them.

Joujin from the first world shows up again after dying once to try and turn this into a hentai yet again and gets rekt by Hachirou's soul that was left inside Hibiki protecting her all these years?

I have no words after this ending but if there was ever an award for Bullshit Anime of the Year, this would win it easily

I stuck with this anime for this long mainly because I wanted to know about Hachirou and Hibiki's origin, and they never even tell us?! I'm guessing the world they were from wasn't the one from Basilisk and that Oboro got pregnant and survived long enough to give birth to them in that one, but the least they could have done is give us an explanation.

And this final, WTF? True form of Ouka not even animated, Tenzen out of fucking nowhere, Hachirou dying and coming back as a ghost just to kill Joujin and Tenzen, etc... Just

Not only was it a completely unworthy "sequel" to Basilisk, it was garbage on its own too. By far the worst show I've seen this year. At least it had Rui.

And no, no snusnu. Come to think of it, did Hachirou and Hibiki even kiss? Even Rui and Utsutsu did in an eyecatch.

After watching this finale, all I can think is... why? Why was this terrible sequel to Kouga Ninpocho written, and why did this production committee think it was worth animating? The ill-fitting art style and the mostly bad animation were just the cherry on top of this crap sundae.
