I'm a big supporter of Rukia x Ichigo myself...........converted by OD from my heretical Ichi x Ori leanings. But I think he needs a little jealousy to push him in the right direction. A Rukia summer romance with Ashido would all be for the greater good.

I dont see Ichigo and Rukia happening sorry guys. Although they do have chemistry in a lot of ways its more of a strong friendship, then a couple. I think Kubo had plans to get Rukia and Ichigo together but then changed his mind so to give Ori some development (ie. her growing feelings for Ichigo). Otherwise she would continue to recite names for the rest of the series. So i see IchiXOri as a more logical couple.

IchiHime...Favorite scene...

Let's look at this again.

Ichigo is very angry in Orihime's behalf. Does that mean he loves her. No. This is just an example of Ichigo's character. He suffers guilt and blames himself for his mothers death. He never wants to see another sad face. He wants to protect a mountain of people. He wants to live up to his name and make amends for the one he couldn't save (His mother)

He got just as angry at Dordonini for attacking Nel and used Bankai & his Vaizard powers to let him save face...both was at risk to himself. Is he in love with either them? No is not. Ichigo is hero saving people is what he does. He and Rukia shared a bond before...He went to save her....It did not develop because of him doing so...

Another thing...Why is Ulquiorra trying to give him a reason to fight him. He knew why he was there in the first place. He's supposed to be trying to rescue Orihime, right?

That's your pick and I accept that...But it won't happen. Kubo has made it clear many times...

Kubo keeps showing the deep emotional bond and love these two have, and have them express it (And through other characters musings) but they are always ignored. When has Ichigo said these things about Orihime?

NEVER! She said out loud...She loves him. (Was it a surprise? No...so why does everyone makes such a big deal out of it?!) But he was unconscious and even if she would have kissed him...It wouldn't have changed a thing, there relationship would have progressed no further...wait they don't have one...
he's already made it clear...IchiRuki...is predetermined

Well, she did heal Ichigo of his severe injuries and she was about to be kidnapped..........Ichigo wouldn't begrudge her that moment of weakness and needing companionship. I agree that Ichigo and Orihime won't have a romantic future together, but I doubt she'll ever get the courage or evil to brutally rape him.
