This is a nice breath of fresh air.
A relaxing story that keeps you interested. Logy is nice to look at, so that's a plus as well. With all the girls around, you'd expect this to be harem, but it's not. Surprisingly, it's a regular fantasy anime ^^ It was fun to see different races in it too. Escha is sweet as well. Nothing big was happening, yet the simplicity of things kept me interested. This reminds me of some Japanese RPG games for Wii that I used to play. Think I'm gonna watch this anime.

Escha is obviously a 'genki' girl, but her VA takes it too far, and makes her sound hyper to a degree that's hard to take. |

Anyway, while in the anime items took 30-60 minutes to be created, in the game it's much longer. Each synthesis takes at least one day, complicated items may even need 1 week. This considering that in the game, time is usually a key factor (to say the truth, more in the previous Atelier games than in this one). Quote:

Once finished the game, you have access to a message from each of the seiyuu who participated. While everyone's message, among which the big names (Seto Asami, Koshimizu Ami, Ueda Kana) is around 30 sec - 1 min, Logy's is 2 minutes but clearly forced because he doesn't know what to say, Escha's message is something like 10 minutes.. of pure genkiness.

I know nothing of the game so I'm taking this purely on face value, and I didn't dislike it.
I liked 'Clone's slightly machine-like speech patterns (and have always been a sucker for a good "ara ara"), and the general atmosphere. I do wonder if they clean out that cauldron between making machine parts and apple tarts. The "Ding!" when the cauldron was done was genius. Could be fun. |

I played all of Gust's alchemy games on the PS2 though sadly none of the PS3. I was actually sort of hoping for a more serious atelier game to be made into an anime but this one works just about well enough.

Definitely think I'm going to buy the game to play sometime later. Though I still need to complete Arland series
Somehow I'm not surprised by this explanation. It's...fitting. I wonder how often she brushes it.

hmmmm, nice beautiful.
Although I've played Arland series I haven't played this yet, and after weighing it, I decided to just watch it now since I'll probably not play the game for a long time. Lots of homage to the familiar game system in here. Btw, how they mention Escha's family without the males and how they're all alchemist, it makes me imagine if they're actually reproducing without the help of men

Well you have to realise that alchemy is like magic.
Like magic though. Alchemists actually tend to not believe in actual magic. XD Anyway, one thing that I haven't pointed out yet, but the blatant ship teasing between our title characters is even more blatant than it was in the game. |
