Eh, I'd say it'd be more Mary Sue-ish if she had coincidentally developed it beforehand ("Oh wow, you have an adult mode too?"). Instead she specficially states she's copying off of Vivio and Einhart. She didn't come up with it herself, she based it off some one else.

To be fair Lutecia don't look like the "tough" type. While somewhat atlethic, she's probably physically weaker than brawlers like Rio or Vivio.
