Most likely Shizuka stabbed him to prevent the possessed child from doing it. If you know what you're doing, you can stab a person without it being a fatal blow. It's still awesome when he tries to act crazy though.

I was wondering why a thread for an axed manga was suddenly necroed, but I'm honestly kinda glad this is getting another chance.

I personally thought it had some potential back in the day, but a lot wrong decisions and bad developments are what led to it getting axed. I ended up writing it off as one of those "what could've been" manga. Hopefully, it does better this time round.

It's also rare for an axed manga to resume serialization or get a remake. I'd like to see this trend become a little more commonplace in the future as there are some titles I'd like to see get another chance. (Looking at you Shuukan Shounen Hachi)
