Sagawa is a true scientist . Honestly, that's the best use someone could make from immortality. I would also love to experience what the world would become when i'm no longer here. Would we be able to conquer the stars or kill each other with stupid wars? How far will science take humanity? It's really interesting. I can actually relate to the guy. Too bad he also enjoys violence and to murder people in the process..lool. But it's a nice way to show the audience what the Herald is capable off.
Juri's father is such a chuunibyou. Taking credit for what Makoto is able to do will probably ruin the plan of using the new Herald against Sagawa. I loled hard at Juri's face tho |

So the Blonde Thug will become a herald...a massive CHEKOV GUN here...
Sagawa's plan is something pretty fitting the cult like heritage of the hapiness society, Poor Takafumi, will get a shock when learns the stone was destroyed. So makoto can control Heralds...that was a twist and nobody beliving that Takafumi was the one can stop it. but now he and makoto are pulling a con with that. So..we will adapt the whole series or will need to look for the manga? |

And the blond thug is the Herald who showed up at the end, and is now being controlled by Makoto. They even mentioned him by name, which I can't recall. Last edited by Uribatake; 2018-03-04 at 22:57. |

What a chapter, the comedy of Takafumi pretending to control the herald just to come in light during the battle, and the amazing anti sagawa plan and what a twist, seems Sagawa is a pretty human villain with his past and now we're getting his flashback.
So is Sagawa telling the truth or lying? regardless we're soon for the big finish. |

That was...quite an interesting finale.
To me, it showed how much Juri grown as a character. She did look like she was about to break in the end but I'm glad the show went with a more happier path. A decent series' finale imo for the way things were resolved. I'll probably give the manga a try and see what was missing. I had it on-hold for a long time but this anime convinced me to read more. Overall, a peculiar show that may be hard to recommend to people though.

This was the biggest surprise of the season to me. I loved every minute of it. It was amazing how a 12 episode story was told by just focusing a single time frame. I always though we would see more stasis frames xD.
Loved the characters. Not having 14yo kids as protagonists is always a big plus for me. They were fun, engaging and badass when needed. Sagawa was a marvelous villain. I can actually relate to his main goal. For a new studio, the animation was actually decent for the most time. They even achieved some nice shots and details too regarding the lack of time flow and the overall mechanics of the stasis world. More seinen sci-fis like this one are welcome! |

I found the final episode possibly the most interesting one in the series. It finally seriously explored the psychology of a normal person trapped in statis with no other human interaction - even for someone as strong as Juri, one will simply slip further and further into madness and start questioning what is real and what is not. It'd be even more interesting to see what would happen if the Handler system doesn't exist, and it's actually possible to remain in statis regardless of a person's frame of mind. Would it eventually drive Juri into suicide?
EDIT: on a bit of a tangent, I sat confused staring at the "amazon prime" tag for a whole minute before I realized it meant this show is on Amazon Prime Video.

The original Founder twist was out of the left field and didn't really have much build up, but I'm really just glad that we got our happy ending. It's a rare sort of happy ending where even the antagonists got a happy end. I am also glad to see that the family as whole grew from the experience.
This was definitely the most underrated anime of this season considering how few people are discussing it.
