Just finished 棺姫のチャイカ volumes 1 to 6. Admittedly, it took longer than I expected.
Frankly, I don’t know how I should feel about this series. I like the worldbuilding, especially some of the concepts involved like the various jobs, use of magic, and the Feira. I’m really intrigued by the mysteries surrounding Chaika(s), the Gazz Emperor, the Feira, and their connections to each other. Lastly, I love the Chaikas; I find both Chaika Trabant and Chaika Bogdan adorable, the latter more so for me despite her few appearances. I am, however, not a fan of some of the author’s writing quirks. I don’t like how he can’t make the distinction between repetition and redundancy; whenever he tries using repetition in order to achieve dramatic tension and added impact, he overdoes it a few times and ends up being redundant. Something mentioned just a few pages ago can and will be repeated again and again. He can come off as preachy when approaching certain concepts, themes or ideals; “betrayal and trust” in volume 3 and “the nature of killing” in volume 6 comes to mind very easily. And I especially don’t like how he gets to establish certain things, only to conveniently ditch or forget them in favor of building up cheap dramatic tension. About the nature of Saboteurs, for example; the most glaring one in recent memory, was when the author hypes up a Saboteur’s threat level in combat through Akari’s actions in battle, only to do the very reverse of things when it came to Toru. Volumes 3 and 6 are probably the ones I find most disagreeable and least entertaining, for various reasons (of which the above mentioned items are related). It’s an entertaining read for the most part, but whether or not you can put up with the author’s writing style and quirks is what will determine whether or not you will find yourself sticking with this series. For what it's worth, I purchased Volume 7, so take that as you will.

Owari wa seraph is a LN written by Kagami Yuu, who was in fact the author of the famous Itsuten (which has just reached its end ). If that doesn't give you much of an impression then I supposed this will work : his masterpiece work is Densetsu No Yuusha No Densetsu !!

Hiya,
I'm kinda new when it comes to LNs but, I've just finished reading Seirei Tsukai no Kenbu (vol 11 on BT) and Silver Cross and Draculea (vol 3 on BT). Despite the repetitive themes (tsundere abuse, harem, romcom, action, supernatural / vampire and what-not), I really liked those two series. Just wondering if there're titles with similar flairs to those 2, I know that there're tons of series with this kind of setup (take DxD, Madan no Ou [not by much, I know], Oda Nobuna and HnA - but they ebb away from me real quick), I'm particularly looking for titles with relatively good track-record when it comes to the characters and plot development. Thanks in advance guys and Sorry for the fuss |

^ hmm.. I've read DAL tho not the other 2 - their anime adaptations were quite... dull somehow - dropped Mondaiji after 2 eps and C3 halfway-thru, I read the manga version of TT! but it kinda gets too bland at the recent chapters IMO
Sorry for the dumb question, but are their LN versions really that good?
