I like the old school feel of this story but I just can't seem to get over how cheesy Juuzo comes across half the time. It's good that they made him a bit quirky but when he gets serious his lines are so hammy that I don't know if the show is being serious or not. I think it's probably Suwabe playing a large part in that but I'm pretty sure it's the writing too. Don't know what to make of it really.

^ I thought same thing too.
Well that turned into a big mess didn't it? Beruihen or at least Cunningham is pretty damn persistent if nothing else and now the Kyusei Group might become an enemy if they find out what just happened. Still I didn't expect the perp targeting kids was another kid. |

I mean, the MC is basically a parody of the genre he is supposed to be. He is a grown up with a sense of responsibility but completely childish. Still, he is quite friendly to the chidren who aren't as skilled as he.

This episode provided some nice world building. Turns out Juzo had ulterior motives when he fired his gun. He killed two birds with one stone.
Olivier definitely seems like a better match for Juzo than Mary to me, and she isn't hiding her interest in him.

Putting aside who is better match for Juuzou, involving Olivia seems more like inevitable rather then desirable result. It's pretty obvious having boy shooting his gun to be necessary evil and something he would rather avoid if there was any option to do so.
