This would be a day one buy for me if I had a Wii U, but I can't justify getting a whole console for just one game. I'd love to fight some of those monsters, though.
Also is it just me or do the colors look a bit washed out? Like the sun on Mira is super-harsh. I wish the game looked a little more vibrant.

The website also updated on the characters, story, and other stuff! Can anyone determine who's voices who?

But my problem is I'm not confident that there will be more of these games that I like that would come out on Wii U to justify it. Maybe in a couple more years assuming I'm still interested and the prices are rock bottom... Or second hand.

Well you clearly didn't grow up with Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, or Xenoblade either (unless you count anything in the Xenosaga, despite being completely different games overall) since they're new franchises. No reason you can't get into something in later iterations. Not like there's lore you'd need to catch up on.

I never really did Mario Kart either, but I bought 7 and because each round is quick and the luck factors gives everyone a chance, every time I decided to play, I ended up playing for quite a while. Liked it quite a lot.
Smash is well... Smash. In a good way, of course.

No, but I do like Platinum action games, and I love mecha JRPGs so those games have that going for them.
(Actually I didn't play the first Bayo) Neither smash nor mario cart have anything going for me- not the characters or the genre, I don't do couch brawlers (Is that what it's called?) or racing games... The only interest I have in them is watching the Super Best Friends Brawl videos on them

Oy, there's a ton of new info released from the Famitsu magazine:
http://www.siliconera.com/2015/01/28...es-exploration And here's more info on something called "Unions", and the ridiculous size this game will have! http://gematsu.com/2015/01/xenoblade...ap-size-unions Man, I hope the game's story is good with all this "open-world" stuff.

Finished reading all that. Looking good! I hope the sleeping humans you rescue affect the story in someway and it's not just a 'Collect them all' kind of gimmick. The factions sound interesting too (I predict 90% of players will join Avalanche). Anyway the story doesn't matter too much, as long as the game is fun to play and the story isn't too terrible.
