I'll be honest, I enjoy these types of satire-daily life type of stuff way over the battle format of the giant eyeball monster.
@Kasha episode

Eyeball gaijin was a pretty boring big bad, yeah. But where Nanashi is concerned the more the better.

Umeka Shouji (Neko Musume's voice actress) said that this episode was very fun to record. I see what she meant there. Body swap episodes are always fun to listen, if voice actors are good.

I thought her Sawashiro Miyuki was spot-on, too.

That bit with Neko-Musume seducing Kitarou looked like it came straight off the shelf in the doujin section.

episode 38 manages to be both disturbingly dark and comedic at the same time, yikes!

What an upbeat story for the New Year!

I guess Nezumi Otoko must spend every last cent he earns. He has periods of wealth like here, but in the next episode he's always impoverished.

Didin't like the new ED much myself.

Daddy-Eyeball has some offensive powers of his own. First time we've seen them, right? And what's with that electrocution power that Kasha/Kitarou displayed? We've never seen that before either.

That was Kitarou's Internal Electricity. He uses it in most of the big fights.

I've been hunting down previous Kitaro series, and the "internal electricity" power was used a lot in the 2007 version. Don't know if it goes back any farther than that.

Speaking of the previous series, I can't help noticing that Neko-Musume is the only character whose design and personality change significantly from series to series. Almost like she's secretly a Time Lord and she's been regenerating.

They even added unnecessary pantyhose ripping when Kitaro pikachu-ed her.

Animage posted 100 characters ranking for 2018. Guess who’s got the first place?

I’m not sure why there’s empty spaces. There’s a name and a series written for those, but since my kanji knowledge is very... limited (let’s put it that way), I don’t know who that is.

Still, 3 spots in the top 10 is nice. Obviously this franchise is hugely popular in Japan but it’s amazing how differently it’s perceived in the West.

Props for Mana. And I see Sugimoto Saichi is there, too. Poor Asirpa doesn't show up until #23, right behind Ogata???

If Hypnosis Mic doesn't get an anime announcement this year I'll be hella surprised. Most of it's characters are on this list, and they haven't even had an anime yet. Granted this is Animage and not say Newtype.

Ogata has won every official character poll GK has held since he was introduced.

Meanwhile, poor All Might continues to get the disrespect.

Wow. Tomorrow's episode is going to feature three previous Neko Musume voice actresses: Chinami Nishimura (1996) Yuko Mita (1985) and Hiromi Konno (2007). Now, if only they also would bring back Yamaguchi Nana (1968) (Ogushi Youko (1971) has retired, if I remember correctly).

I have only one thing to say:
"Bang"

It was a great episode.

P.S. I have to say, Shun realy reminds me of Apollo Justice.
